INTRODUCTION
It is the responsibility of the supervisors and managers to utilize available resources to train,
qualify, and develop their employees. On-the-job (OJT) is one of the best training methods because it is

planned, organized, and conducted at the employee‟s worksite. OJT will generally be the primary method use
for broadening employee skills and increasing productivity. it is particularly appropriate for developing
proficiency skills unique to an employee‟s job-especially jobs that are relatively easy to develop, learn and
require locally-owned equipment and facilities.
To have a successful practicum program, supervisors need to assign a coach to each
employee involved in OJT practicum. It is the responsibility of the coach to plan training carefully and conduct
it effectively. The OJT Trainee must be able to cope much with the tasks given to him/her. The OJT coach
must in turn observe the trainee as he/she is working on that given task.

SUMMARY OF DUTY

Week 1, June 5-7

It was June 5, 2013 when I started working in UOMINI LANGUAGE INSTITUTE INC as an
Admin Secretary. Before I was introduced to our designated department, the ULI secretary oriented me
about the company rules and regulations. They also introduced me to those teachers who are there that
day.

To start with my work, Mr. Joel Jao Tolitol, President of ULI INC., assigned me at the admin
office located at the CM Plaza, Dasmarinas, Cavite. I was excited to know that most of the teachers
teaching in ULI know how to speak in Japanese.
I also meet one of the teachers, Ma‟am Marie who teaches Mandarin language. She was so

kind and generous.
The first job assigned to me was to review those pricelist for those subjects and also I encoded
Students profiles.
Week 2, June 10-12

Our Company Boss, “Ma‟am Jheng or „Madam‟ ” they used to call her those names in the office,
she assigns me a task. I encoded student profiles that are not active in the class. After encoding all the
profiles, Ma‟am Jheng asks me to printed-out all the files I encoded.
After Printing all those files, Ma‟am Jheng ask me to go at Cm Plaza to work on those reports
she left at the office in Cm Plaza Building.
At the Cm Plaza Building, I started cleaning the Computer and also our working place. Then I
started listing all the monthly reports.
Week 3, June 15-19

This is just a regular day for me. Just like what I‟m doing the other pass few days, I‟m doing
some paper works. Files and Profiles of the students who are enrolled in different course or language but
this time I need to list first then encode it after.
While I‟m doing this, one person came-in to inquire our Courses or languages we offered. I
introduced myself first then we started talking about the language he wants to inquire about. We ended up
our conversation when he decided to enrol the other day.
I went back to work and continue working on those files. It was Pass six o‟clock in the evening

when I decided to go home.
Week 4, June 24-29

I just stayed at the Cm Plaza Building waiting for those client want to inquire about our offered languages. I
am all alone at our office. Too boring for an ordinary day for me.
While waiting, I decided to clean the filling cabinet just to make sure that all the files are in ordered and in
alphabetical order too.
It was lunch time when I decided to go down stairs to buy food for my lunch.
After lunch, Ma‟am Jheng came at the office. She told me that I can go home early. She will be the one who will
wait for the applicant. It was too great! I can now go home to take an early sleep.

and then she leave.
It was one o‟clock in the afternoon when I saw the ink store was open. I urgently buy the ink and

On-the-job (OJT) is one of the best training methods because it is planned, organized, and conducted at the employee‟s worksite. OJT will generally be the primary method use for broadening employee skills and increasing productivity. it is particularly appropriate for developing proficiency skills unique to an employee‟s job-especially jobs that are relatively easy to develop, learn and require locally-owned equipment and facilities. To have a successful practicum program, supervisors need to assign a coach to each employee involved in OJT practicum. It is the responsibility of the coach to plan training carefully and conduct it effectively. The OJT Trainee must be able to cope much with the tasks given to him/her. The OJT coach must in turn observe the trainee as he/she is working on that given task.
