- Hi I am Talvinder, Founder & CEO of tushky.com. Tushky is a marketplace for real world leisure activities. Think of fencing, archery, pottery etc. We are currently only in India.
- Look at me, I am an urban middle class Indian. I love travel and my weekends. But how do I spend them? Touristy attractions and movie mall dinner. Why? Because I don't have many options.
- I look it up, things to do in Mumbai. And I get?
- Not really!
- Well, not really, but something close to that. Lot’s of cluttered touristy attractions and Not a single actionable, bookable activity. I just want to have some good time.I get mundane attractions and not a single activity to book. I just want to have some good time.
- India has 300 million people who travel and enjoy their weekends.
- Local activities and things to do is a thirty three billion dollar badly fragmented market in India alone.
- And we built tushky to build and organize this market by bringing local activity providers online by giving them an inventory management system and our platform.Tushky is a beautiful product.
- At the core of it, we are building a trustworthy inventory of activities, which were not accessible online or didn't even exist in the first place. Soon, we will be powering some of the leading travel portals and event discovery apps with our activities via APIs.enabling people to dream, plan their weekends, book, experience and sharing by All this, essentially makes Tushky a modern GDS for local activities and things to do, aggregated from local activity providers. Anyone can offer activities on Tushky and earn money.
- For eg. Jawahar Joshi, a banker by day and Rifle shooting coach on weekends. Soon, we will be powering some of the leading travel portals and event discovery apps with our activities via APIs.
- Tushky was cofounded by just the right bunch of crazy people. I am a music producer, designer, choreographer, dancer apart from being an aerospace engineer and my cofounders are theatre artists, writers, actors, singers and we are all travelers. Kranti has built and sold a software services company, while Kunal has built and exited a twenty million dollar company. And we are IIT bombay graduates. graduates from IIT Bombay. I am a rocket scientist by qualification.
- We have a stellar team and have the backing of some of the best angels in India.
- We have a monthly run rate of fifteen thousand dollars and we are doing 5 tickets per day. We have done hundred and fourty thousand dollars of revenue with 30% retention. We have sixteen top tier corporates like google, schlumberger etc as our recurring clients.
- Our seller base is growing organically. We have 850 sellers in 3 cities, making us the biggest by far in India.
