2. INTRODUCTION
 Manchester United seem to have attracted almost as many
column inches discussing their kits as they have regarding
their football.
 The team are famous with it’s classic red jersey, that are
known and feared throughout football.

4. 1955 - 1959
• First home kit wore this V-necked classic strip .
• The kit became a permanent choice during the
1956-57 season.

5. 1960-1969
( 1961 – 62 )
• Manchester United changed to this white-hoop collar
design with white cuffs .

• The new jersey for the 71-72 season featured a huge
floppy collar - all so fashionable in the 1970's.

6. UMBRO
( 1972-73 )
• Has the club badge on the chest for the
first time.
• The white and yellow away strips were
also reproduced with the new added

new V necked white collars and cuffs with

• The kit has changes at the strip, except for the white

cross-over collar.
