Major General John Ferrari presented on the U.S. Army Program Analysis and Evaluation's (PA&E) migration to the AWS cloud. PA&E manages $160 billion in annual budget resources and needed to modernize its legacy system. It observed cloud adoption in the private sector and migrated its cPROBE system to AWS to gain access to new tools, optimize data handling, and enable 21,000 users to better collaborate across the Army. The migration focuses on DevSecOps, data engineering, and integrating systems both vertically and horizontally on AWS services like RDS, Lambda, and Redshift.
