4. About the H1B
What is the H1B and why is it so important?
 The H1B is the primary work permit for international talents
to start working and living in the United States.
It follows a lottery system that attributes every April 85,000
visas to sponsored applicants
 As it is the employers who must file the application, it is
hence important for you to know which are the ones that
have sponsored international business talent in the past, as
these are also the most likely to sponsor again in the future
 Note that you can find all the necessary information,
provided by our partner Fragomen, in our International
section

search and filter 46,936 H1B
sponsorships for business profiles by
state, functional area, job title and
employer name
 For each employer, one gets a big
picture of the volume, the locations, and
the typical sponsored roles (job title, job
area, and salary)

 The Accountants gained one spot,
with 316 additional applications
compared to 2017.
 The Management Analysts lost one
spot since 2017 but still has 86
additional applications.
