Christian Medical & Dental Associations of Atlanta exists to glorify God
by motivating, educating and equipping Christian healthcare
professionals and students in order to transform lives with the gospel.
The
Mission
Transforming Lives
With the Gospel
Through Medicine
CMDA Atlanta’s vision is to strengthen and equip doctors, PA’s, nurses, dentists, students, and other
healthcare professionals with the wisdom and compassion of Christ as they transform their professional
fields through holistic care. Through this network of Christ-centered, compassionate caregivers, people
receive the latest medical treatment as well as the transformative power of the gospel.
Supporting Local Doctors:
Medicine, by nature, promotes
healing but the practice of medicine
can breed toxic stress, fatigue and
contention for those pursuing faith
alongside science. Medical and
d e n t a l p r o f e s s i o n a l s n e e d
encouraging peer relationships to
support them in their unique
challenges. CMDA Atlanta provides
a growing network of medical and
dental professionals that offers
members a place of camaraderie,
rest, and equipping. Additionally,
these professionals offer spiritual
wisdom and career guidance to
eager students through CMDA
Atlanta’s mentorship program.
Engaging Medical Students:
As hundreds of students enter
medical school in Atlanta, they all
encounter new experiences that
consume their time, confront them
with enormous pressure, and
challenge them with competing
world views. CMDA Atlanta seeks to
be a spiritual oasis amidst the storm.
We facilitate connections with other
students and experienced doctors to
strengthen both their faith and their
careers. Through mentorships,
volunteer opportunities, mission
trips, and faith-based healthcare
teaching, students are given the tools
needed to build a spiritually thriving
medical practice.
Reaching the Marginalized:
The global need for adequate
hospitals with trained staff is
unending. CMDA Atlanta answers
the cries of impoverished regions in
other countries and in our own city
by deploying teams of medical
professionals and students to take
holistic care, essential training, and
t h e l o v e o f C h r i s t t o t h e
marginalized. In addition to 4
mission trips annually, we deploy our
Mobile Medical Unit several times
each month to underserved areas of
Atlanta, offering both healthcare and
spiritual encouragement to those in
our city who need it most.

4000 HOURS OF MENTORING
invested into future medical professionals
29 MISSION TRIPS
to across 4 continents in the past 5 years
4 ATLANTA CAMPUSES
where medical students are empowered with
Biblical truths
400+ SERVED MONTHLY
with holistic care through our Atlanta mobile
medical unit
To become a collective community that is transforming the professional, medical
identity of Atlanta and beyond by empowering 500 medical professionals,
equipping 150 future doctors and investing in 10 global communities by 2016.
Saturate today’s medical universities with God-fearing mentors, and facilitate
invaluable relationships between current professionals and future doctors.
Through lunch and learn gatherings, an estimated 620 students could be exposed to
medical professionals, resources, tools and Bible studies for $500 per month.
Create a global awakening to Christ around the world with holistic care and the healing
message. Sponsor a medical student to participate in missions. There are nine trips a
year—each costs $2500 in travel expenses and lodging needs. In 2014, we had 40
students join us. Help provide scholarships for our future caregivers.
Treat the whole person as the love of Christ is shared through the Mobile Medical Unit
to more than 400 people every week. An investment of $1,000 will provide one week
of crucial care as we deliver hope.
