À propos
My research interests primarily focus on developing data mining techniques and applying machine learning to solve problems stemming from bioinformatics, networked systems and computational social science. I have developed methods to infer co-evolving structures in biological and social systems, forecast societal population-level events (like flu outbreak), and model behavior, such as prejudice and ideological leanings, in social systems. My research combines theoretical analysis of models, development of efficient algorithms and application on data originated from diverse sources, including protein sequences and structures, yeast cell cycle, Twitter, epidemiology, and supreme court opinions.
