- If you look at the path to reinventing spend management, the world is centered around the ERP. Arguably, everything in gray here can be done via Excel spreadsheets manually. But, for debits and credits, you need a financial backbone. What we've seen is we've seen in the front office is two providers, Salesforce on the left and Workday on the right, really innovate to provide business applications in our human capital management performance, sales and success, that quite frankly the ERP wasn't bringing to them. Through consolidation through software-as-a-service, they are now providing business value and the strategic extension to the front office that's now delivering efficiencies and savings for those parts of the business. But what's never really been looked at before is the back office. It's always been about revenue, people, processes somewhat on the top of the minds of the executive stakeholders.
