vocational education and training in:
• Geo Science and Land Information Management Systems,
• Heavy Vehicle Transport and Diesel Mechanics,
• Mechanical and Civil Engineering, and
• Automotive and Light Vehicle Transport

The Mining and Engineering Centre
The $38.3 million Mining and Engineering Centre is a major new training facility to be
built at TAFE SA’s Regency Campus at Regency Park.
The Mining and Engineering Centre will be a centre for training excellence to support
growth in the mining, engineering, advanced manufacturing, transport and defence
industries.
New features include
• Applied Research Facility
• Industry Demonstration and Engagement Facility
• Student centred learning common and administration hub
• Flexible training methods including on-the-job, e-learning and on campus delivery

The centre will completed by July 2014.
Development will occur over three phases
Phase 1
• Construction of an additional car park
• Rebuilding of the Mechanical, Advanced Manufacturing and
Fabrication Engineering School workshop and lecture areas
• Part development of student centred learning common and
administration hub

Phase 2
• Construction of the Land Information and Management
Systems and Geoscience workshops and laboratory
• New building construction for the Heavy Vehicle areas
• Part redevelopment of the Light Vehicle area
Phase 3
• Completion of the light vehicle workshops and lecture
facilities including integration with heavy vehicle facilities
• Completion of a student centred learning common and
administration hub with new student entry points to the
Centre
