- We all have things we wish we could do. That we just dream about, but just dreaming about it feels like this.Looking out and not able to jump.What else is this picture telling us?We can see beyond what holds us back, there is still an opening at the topWhat if we could reach our full potential? That would feel so great.. And yet be don’t we hang on the edge.How many of you would like to have this tomorrow?Ok then let’s do it!How many are ready to walk out this door and make it happen?
- No many right? And don’t feel bad you are here and we are get you moving.And I’m not surprised. I encounter people like this every day who have a hard time with the idea of going out to get what they want…Smart people, strong people, skilled people, capable people…People just like me and you!It’s like we need a little push or a reality check or how about a new perspective?
- Before I give you the perspective I wanted to show you the picture
- What feelings come up when you hear this?A new perspective right?Maybe this is a reality check.The reality is we will all live the length of our life and don’t have that much choice in it, butLiving the width of your life is living in your full potential and Is a choice only you can make.How many of you want to live the width of your life?But the sad thing is we often live here…
- On the edge looking out at the fear, the obstacles and just how hard it would be. Do you ever feel like you are here?What are you standing on the edge of? To write that book, to lose weight, to have a loving relationship, to start a business, to get paid to speak? whatever it is.SHAREWhat makes us stand here and look? instead of acting?We are procrastinating, we lack confidence to move forward, we have “reasons” and the reality is we are watching others move through life with what we want. - So anytime you are procrastinating it’s like you’re just looking at life – as it passes you by.Watching others get the things you have always wanted.Well I want to change that.

Ill show at every step how it’s easy to get stuck and why moving forward to our full potential often never becomes a reality.Let’s get started.
- I’ll start by telling you a little story where I learnt a big lesson about when I looked and didn’t jump. I love to travel and had thought going to New Zealand would be fun and make it easy to visit my friend in Australia.
- This is where my story begins with me choosing what I wanted to do in New Zealand…Some of the wild adventurous things
- I wanted to do the Shotover Canyon SwingThe World’s Highest Swing at 109m/360ft above the famous Shotover River in NZ. Attached in a full body harness, you have over 70 jump styles to choose from, ranging from mild to mind blowing. Once you leave the platform you’ll have a 60m/200ft free fall before smoothly entering a giant 200m swing arc at 150kph.

- You can do it solo or tandum.What would you do? What did I choose?solo
- So I was there on the platformIt's hot and I'm sweating from the extreme heat…I get strapped and harnessed in around my butt and waist, on a platform on the one side of a canyon. I tell myself “Diane, Others have done it before you and they are human so what makes you different and not able to achieve it.They think I should do the pin drop...suggested b/c I've never done a bungee jump before. - I shuffle to the edge. I’m looking down at the 109m canyon I will drop into and all I have to do is a small hop to the left. Unlike jumping off a bridge which takes one obvious step literally You must look at the fear straight on and take the challenge believe me that even though My head is on the guy's shoulder and my arm linking his.........I want to do it but I say 'I can't do this”He tells me, "I wouldn't either it's not very safe" and smiles. Yathanks a lot guy – but I could tell what he was doing –he's trying to distract me or make me laughI stood there without making a move............what was holding me back?
- I was just looking.I was stuck at the final step of the JUMP process. Would you have gotten stuck here or earlier?Are you getting stuck at one of the 5 steps and procrastinating doing something you have only wished you could do?Well I want to change that.

- Maybe people are here – they are looking out at the world as it passes by.Letting life choose what happens to you. Or just looking at what others are doing. When really they should, Stop looking and Dream –what does that mean here? Figure out what you want.But I use the word DREAM bc it’s sooo important to not be limited by reality. Dreams have a bigger quality to them.
- what do you dream about?Have you ever sat down and written it out? How often do you do this? Why is it important?

- So in the box you can fill in the blank and then brainstorm about the things you want.Think about all of the areas of your life ~Now that you have some things that you want. Let’s share one thing each.For example: What do I want?I want to travel.
- Let’s practice saying you want it – why – so you can ask for it.Your turn!Write a couple on the flip chartAnd now that you know what you want… so you won’t be stuck at Step 1, but making then you have been getting stopped at ….

- So I ended up jumping – I squealed like a girl and flalld my arms around – but I did it.The biggest lesson I learnt that day was that I had to just do it.To stop looking and psyching myself out, to not overthink it otherwise I’d not be able to complete…
- Quick and painless. So I decided I had to conquer the Canyon swing so I did it again. and the next time I went up I just did a 3-2-1 and I jumped with more courage and strength and it allowed me to enjoy the experience more.
