Empathy Games probably won't save the world but it can surely gives us a hand in the right direction on how we can reach realities and contexts that are alien to us, enhancing our empathy. This can lead us to a better understanding of the different realities we can experience as humans.

14. “Stress from the presence of strangers
reduces people’s ability to empathize, a
new study finds. However, just 15 minutes
of playing a video game together (in this
case, the cooperative music game Rock
Band) is enough to overcome this barrier
and allow strangers to empathize with each
other.”

37. “This was a story about frustration - in what
other form do people complain as much about
being frustrated? A video game lets you set
up goals for the player and make her fail to
achieve them. A reader can’t fail a book. It’s
an entirely different level of empathy.”

Not quite.
But it may be a hint of a future
with games integrated into
every aspect of our lives.”
