1. Als Jesus am See Genezareth
entlangging, sah er dort zwei Männer:
Simon, der später Petrus genannt
wurde, und dessen Bruder Andreas.
Sie waren Fischer und warfen gerade
ihre Netze aus.
Jesus was walking by the sea of
Galilee when He saw two brothers,
Simon and Andrew. They were
fishermen and were throwing their
fishing nets into the sea.

2. Jesus called out to them, “Come and follow Me and be My disciples.” And they
immediately left everything to follow Jesus.

und gingen mit Jesus.

4. Later, Jesus saw a man named Matthew collecting taxes for Rome. Jesus said to
him, “Follow Me!” and Matthew immediately left everything and followed Jesus.

5. Jesus beruft zwölf Jünger. Diese zwölf Apostel waren Simon (der Petrus genannt wurde),
Andreas (der Bruder von Simon Petrus), Jakobus, Sohn des Zebedäus, Johannes (Jakobus
Bruder), Philip, Bartholomäus, Thomas, Matthäus, Jakobus, Sohn des Alphäus, Simon der
Zelote und Judas Iskariot (der Jesus verriet).
Jesus called twelve men to be His disciples. They were: Simon Peter, Andrew, James,
John, Phillip, Thomas, Matthew, James the son of Alpheus, Simon the Zealot,
Thaddeus, Bartholomew and Judas, who later betrayed Jesus.

6. Jesus has called us to be disciples. By translating our faith into tangible actions
that express our love and concern, we can be living examples of God’s love.
Jesus uns dazu berufen, das „Licht der Welt“ zu sein. Wenn wir aus unserem
Glauben heraus konkret handeln und dadurch unsere Liebe und unser Interesse
ausdrücken, können wir ein lebendiges Beispiel der Liebe Gottes sein.
