Start-up INDIA
■ Launched in January 2016
■ Government of India promotes entrepreneurship by mentoring, and
facilitating startups throughout their life cycle.
■ With a 360 degree approach to enable startups, the initiative
provides a comprehensive four-week free online learning program,
has set up research parks, incubators and startup centers across the
country by creating a strong network of academia and industry
bodies.
■ Startup India Learning Program, Facilitated Patent filing,
innovation focused programs for students, funding support, tax
benefits and addressing of regulatory issues.
Stand-up INDIA
■ Launched in 2015
■ It aims to enable economic participation and share the benefits
of India’s growth, among women entrepreneurs, Scheduled
Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
■ Towards this end, at least one women and one individual from
the SC or ST communities are granted loans between Rs.1
million to Rs.10 million to set up greenfield enterprises in
manufacturing, services or the trading sector.
Make in INDIA
■ Launched in September 2014
■ Designed to transform India into a global design and
manufacturing hub.
■ It came as a powerful call to India’s citizens and business
leaders, and an invitation to potential partners and investors
around the world to overhaul out- dated processes and policies,
and centralize information about opportunities in India’s
manufacturing sector
Skill INDIA
Kaushal Bharat Kushal Bharat
■ Launched in July 2015
■ Skill India is an initiative of the Government of India which has been launched to
empower the youth of the country with skill sets which make them more
employable and more productive in their work environment.
■ For the first time, a Ministry for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE)
has been formed to focus on enhancing employability of the youth.
■ Skill India is no more just limited to the domestic market but is actively engaging
with countries across the world to promote cross geographical exposure and
opportunities in the international market.
Digital INDIA
■ The Digital India initiative was launched to modernize the Indian
economy to makes all government services available electronically.
The initiative aims to transform India into a digitally empowered
society and knowledge economy with universal access to goods and
services.
■ This program aims to improve citizen participation in the digital
and financial space, make India’s cyberspace safer and more secure,
improve ease of doing business
Science for Equity Empowerment and
Development
■ SEED aims to provide opportunities to motivated
scientists and field level workers to undertake action-
oriented, location specific projects for socio-economic
gain, particularly in rural areas.
■ SEED emphasizes equity in development, so that the
benefits of technology benefit to a vast section of the
population.

CENTRES
New Gen Innovation and
Entrepreneurship Development Centre
■ The New Gen IEDC is being promoted in educational institutions to develop an
institutional mechanism to create an entrepreneurial culture in S&T academic
institutions and techno-entrepreneurship for generation of wealth and
employment by S&T persons.
■ Industry Applicable: Chemicals, technology hardware, healthcare & life
science , aeronautics/aerospace & defence, agriculture etc.
■ Eligibility: The parent institution should have expertise and infrastructure. This
includes a minimum dedicated space of about 5,000 square feet to establish a
New Gen IEDC, library, qualified faculty, workshops, etc.
■ Incentives: one-time, non-recurring financial assistance, up to INR 25 Lakhs.
CREDIT GUARANTEE
■ Industry: Sector-Agnostic.
■ Eligibility: The scheme is applicable for new and existing Micro and
Small Enterprises engaged in manufacturing or service activity excluding
retail trade, educational institutions, agriculture etc.
■ Overview: The scheme was launched by the Indian government to
strength the credit delivery system and facilitate the flow of credit to the
MSE sector. Leading institutions majorly included public, private, foreign
banks along with regional rural banks, and SBI and its associate banks.
■ Incentives: Both term loans and/or working capital facility up to INR
100 Lakhs per borrowing unit are being provided.
Infrastructure Development
Scheme
■ Eligibility: space shall be allotted to IT/ITES/MSME units not
registered with STPI (Software Technology Parks Of India Scheme). It
will be allotted to only those units that are falling under the overall
definition of MSME as per the guidelines of Ministry of Micro, Small and
Medium Enterprises.
■ Overview: This scheme by the Indian government aims to solve the
office space issues of MSMEs. The Corporation has commercial buildings
at New Delhi, Chennai, and Hyderabad.
■ Incentives: The sizes of available office space range from 467 sq.ft. to
8,657 sq.ft. The rentals are reviewed every year.
MSME Market development
Assistance
Launched in: 2002
Headed by: Office of the Development Commissioner (MSME)
■ Eligibility: Unit having valid permanent registration with the Directorate of
Industries/District Industries Centre..
■ Overview: The scheme offers a funding to interested individuals aimed at increasing
participation of representatives of small/micro manufacturing enterprises under the
MSME India stall at international trade fairs/exhibitions.
■ Incentives: 75% of air fare by economy class and 50% space rental charges for micro
& small manufacturing enterprises get reimbursed under this scheme.
■ For women/SC/ST entrepreneurs & entrepreneurs from North Eastern Region, 100%
space, rent, and economy class airfare will be reimbursed.
NITI Aayog
Atal Incubation Centre (AIC)
■ Industry Applicable: Chemicals, technology hardware, healthcare & life
sciences, aeronautics/aerospace & defense, agriculture.
■ Eligibility: AICs can be established in public/private/public-private partnership
mode.
■ Overview: AICs aim to support and encourage startups to become successful
enterprises. They will provide necessary and adequate infrastructure along with
high-quality assistance or services to startups in their early stages of growth.
■ As per June 16, 2017, Startup status report, NITI Aayog has approved 10
institutes to establish new incubators with a grant of INR 10 Cr each.
■ Fiscal Incentives: AIM will provide a grant-in-aid of INR 10 Cr to each AIC
for a maximum of five years to cover the capital and operational expenditure
cost in running the center.

  • 2. GOVT. POLICIES ■ STARTUP INDIA ■ STANDUP INDIA ■ MAKE IN INDIA ■ SKILL INDIA- Kaushal bharat kushal bharat ■ DIGITAL INDIA ■ SEED( Science for equity empowerment and development)
  • 3. Start-up INDIA ■ Launched in January 2016 ■ Government of India promotes entrepreneurship by mentoring, and facilitating startups throughout their life cycle. ■ With a 360 degree approach to enable startups, the initiative provides a comprehensive four-week free online learning program, has set up research parks, incubators and startup centers across the country by creating a strong network of academia and industry bodies. ■ Startup India Learning Program, Facilitated Patent filing, innovation focused programs for students, funding support, tax benefits and addressing of regulatory issues.

Stand-up INDIA ■ Launched in 2015 ■ It aims to enable economic participation and share the benefits of India’s growth, among women entrepreneurs, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. ■ Towards this end, at least one women and one individual from the SC or ST communities are granted loans between Rs.1 million to Rs.10 million to set up greenfield enterprises in manufacturing, services or the trading sector.

Make in INDIA ■ Launched in September 2014 ■ Designed to transform India into a global design and manufacturing hub. ■ It came as a powerful call to India’s citizens and business leaders, and an invitation to potential partners and investors around the world to overhaul out- dated processes and policies, and centralize information about opportunities in India’s manufacturing sector

Skill INDIA Kaushal Bharat Kushal Bharat ■ Launched in July 2015 ■ Skill India is an initiative of the Government of India which has been launched to empower the youth of the country with skill sets which make them more employable and more productive in their work environment. ■ For the first time, a Ministry for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has been formed to focus on enhancing employability of the youth. ■ Skill India is no more just limited to the domestic market but is actively engaging with countries across the world to promote cross geographical exposure and opportunities in the international market.
  • 7. Digital INDIA ■ The Digital India initiative was launched to modernize the Indian economy to makes all government services available electronically. The initiative aims to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy with universal access to goods and services. ■ This program aims to improve citizen participation in the digital and financial space, make India’s cyberspace safer and more secure, improve ease of doing business

Science for Equity Empowerment and Development ■ SEED aims to provide opportunities to motivated scientists and field level workers to undertake action- oriented, location specific projects for socio-economic gain, particularly in rural areas. ■ SEED emphasizes equity in development, so that the benefits of technology benefit to a vast section of the population.
  • 9. STARTUP SCHEMES ■ New Gen INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CENTRE (New Gen IEDC) ■ CREDIT GUARANTEE ■ INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT SCHEME ■ MSME MARKET DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE ■ NITI AAYOG ■ SCALE-UP SUPPORT TO ESTTABLISHING INCUBATION CENTRES

New Gen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre ■ The New Gen IEDC is being promoted in educational institutions to develop an institutional mechanism to create an entrepreneurial culture in S&T academic institutions and techno-entrepreneurship for generation of wealth and employment by S&T persons. ■ Industry Applicable: Chemicals, technology hardware, healthcare & life science , aeronautics/aerospace & defence, agriculture etc. ■ Eligibility: The parent institution should have expertise and infrastructure. This includes a minimum dedicated space of about 5,000 square feet to establish a New Gen IEDC, library, qualified faculty, workshops, etc. ■ Incentives: one-time, non-recurring financial assistance, up to INR 25 Lakhs.
  • 11. CREDIT GUARANTEE ■ Industry: Sector-Agnostic. ■ Eligibility: The scheme is applicable for new and existing Micro and Small Enterprises engaged in manufacturing or service activity excluding retail trade, educational institutions, agriculture etc. ■ Overview: The scheme was launched by the Indian government to strength the credit delivery system and facilitate the flow of credit to the MSE sector. Leading institutions majorly included public, private, foreign banks along with regional rural banks, and SBI and its associate banks. ■ Incentives: Both term loans and/or working capital facility up to INR 100 Lakhs per borrowing unit are being provided.
  • 12. Infrastructure Development Scheme ■ Eligibility: space shall be allotted to IT/ITES/MSME units not registered with STPI (Software Technology Parks Of India Scheme). It will be allotted to only those units that are falling under the overall definition of MSME as per the guidelines of Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. ■ Overview: This scheme by the Indian government aims to solve the office space issues of MSMEs. The Corporation has commercial buildings at New Delhi, Chennai, and Hyderabad. ■ Incentives: The sizes of available office space range from 467 sq.ft. to 8,657 sq.ft. The rentals are reviewed every year.
  • 13. MSME Market development Assistance Launched in: 2002 Headed by: Office of the Development Commissioner (MSME) ■ Eligibility: Unit having valid permanent registration with the Directorate of Industries/District Industries Centre.. ■ Overview: The scheme offers a funding to interested individuals aimed at increasing participation of representatives of small/micro manufacturing enterprises under the MSME India stall at international trade fairs/exhibitions. ■ Incentives: 75% of air fare by economy class and 50% space rental charges for micro & small manufacturing enterprises get reimbursed under this scheme. ■ For women/SC/ST entrepreneurs & entrepreneurs from North Eastern Region, 100% space, rent, and economy class airfare will be reimbursed.

NITI Aayog Atal Incubation Centre (AIC) ■ Industry Applicable: Chemicals, technology hardware, healthcare & life sciences, aeronautics/aerospace & defense, agriculture. ■ Eligibility: AICs can be established in public/private/public-private partnership mode. ■ Overview: AICs aim to support and encourage startups to become successful enterprises. They will provide necessary and adequate infrastructure along with high-quality assistance or services to startups in their early stages of growth. ■ As per June 16, 2017, Startup status report, NITI Aayog has approved 10 institutes to establish new incubators with a grant of INR 10 Cr each. ■ Fiscal Incentives: AIM will provide a grant-in-aid of INR 10 Cr to each AIC for a maximum of five years to cover the capital and operational expenditure cost in running the center.
