BlockChain – Trend Overview
The backbone of the peer to peer network, Blockchain technology provides an open and
distributed cryptographic ledger shared across all nodes that participate in the network. The
ledger is where every successfully performed transaction is recorded. All those in the
network share ledgers.
Not just limited to monetary applications, the blockchain is being considered for distributed
applications, such as Internet of Things applications.

BlockChain – 5 trends to watch in 2016
1. It’s more than just Bitcoin. In 2016, awareness grows
across business and IT leaders that blockchain will have
far greater implications than just enabling electronic
payments.
2. Linux Foundation unites industry leaders. An open
source and collaborative development strategy that
supports multiple players in multiple industries is required.
This project will develop an enterprise grade, open source
distributed ledger framework.
3. Blockchain enables a secure IoT: Blockchain offers the
ability to secure transactions at the edge of networks,
making it popular with IT security professionals.
4. Financial Services. Blockchain will cause major
disruption to existing processes such as crowdfunding,
digital payments, trading, settlement and clearing.
5. Industry Apps & Clouds. Developers focus on
embedding blockchain capabilities into industry-specific
decentralized applications to support business
transactions. Industry clouds evaluate BlockChain ledger
