the strategic activity of making sense of
ambiguous complex situations. At Humantific,
we do this using visual methods and tools,

charts. This involves not only visual thinking,

What Is Human Development?
Human development is about the real freedom ordinary people have to decide who to be, what to do, and how to
live. These diagrams illustrate the central ideas of human development and visually depict how we measure it
using the American Human Development Index.

Human Development Index
measures the same three basic
dimensions as the standard
HD Index, but it uses different
indicators

use of available data. The Index
will serve as a baseline for
monitoring future progress.

  • 3. 1 Humantific is a new breed of SenseMaking-based Transformation Consultancy. SenseMaking has become the strategic fuel for meaningful ChangeMaking in organizations today. Humantific applies hybrid methods from the emerging/converging fields of design thinking, inclusive innovation and transformation science. Working with our human-centered toolbox, we help organizational leaders co-create pathways through fuzzy strategic complexity, communicate complex ideas, and build organizations that not only maximize collective brainpower but are also adaptable to continuous change. Supportive institutions JOURNEY Human development can be understood as a journey. Even before one’s life begins, parents play a role in setting the trajectory of one’s human development. Human development is about the real freedom ordinary people have to decide who to be, what to do, and how to live.
