as an Senior Engineer in Purchase department.
Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India Private Limited (HMSI) is the 2nd largest
manufacturer of Motorcycles and Scooters in India located at Manesar, Gurgaon district of
Haryana. HMSI, Honda’s wholly owned motorcycles and sales subsidiary in India having 4
manufacturing plants 1st Manesar (Haryana), 2nd Tapukara (Rajasthan), 3rd Bangalore
(Karnataka) & 4th at Vithalapur (Gujarat).
Key Responsibilities
• RFQ Allocation to selected vendor, under the consideration of QCD & Vendor facility.
• Accountable for vendor selection, Cost selection, Cost settlement, Negotiation & Part
development for new model i.e- Die Casting Components & Proprietary parts like Alloy
Wheel, Front Fork & Rear Cushion, Crank Case L & R, Tyres, Imports.
• Zero based & Comparative costing, Cost analysis, Supplier Negotiations strategy & cost
benchmarking mythology, using various methods for the effective cost management.
• Offers & performing negotiations with vendors & Cost settlement.
• Responsible for handling cost down projects like Process Kaizen, Localization and VA/VE
ideas.
• Developing alternate vendor source as parts of substitution, cost reduction efforts.
• Meeting Cost Targets as projected by Cost Planning Department within time limit.

ground. Turn over of this company is 86 million euro.
