This document discusses the positive and negative outcomes of modernity. It then explores how experiential learning programs can help address some of the negative outcomes, such as alienation, weak family units, and lack of meaning. The document promotes taking an experiential learning course offered by the Environmental and Rural Studies program, which uses hands-on activities and projects to facilitate learning. Examples mentioned include bushcraft, metalworking, and nature-based programs.
