McDonald’s Try to Mean CSR
MCD ONALD'S CREATE "BİG GOOD," A NEW BUR GE R TO HE LP SPANİ SH FA R ME RS
RECOV ER FROM THE COVİD-19 CRİSİS

spanish-farmers-recover-from-the-covid-19-
crisis-301197765.html
‘’The creative agency TBWASpain has worked together with McDonald's to co-create a new
burger whose ingredients (bun, beef, cheese, tomato, lettuce and a Mediterranean sauce) are sourced
from farmers and producers whose businesses have been adversely affected by the Covid-19 crisis
-- The burger and project aims to give visibility to the Spanish agricultural sector. The farmers and
producers are also featured in a documentary about the people behind every ingredient
-- Big Good is on sale now at McDonald's locations throughout Spain’’ (PRNewswire. Dec. 22,
2020)
McDonald's suffered major crises like the "horse meat" scandal. and since it is an unhealthy meal
(ie since its existence) to lead to obesity; With covid19, from the hustle and bustle of daily life; It is
no longer fast for people who are stuck in houses with restrictive movement areas; The importance
of activities that will make time pass quickly has increased in their homes. People gave more
importance to a healthy diet while at home instead of an unhealthy meal. McDonals sales may have
declined for this reason. And this may be the reason for this social responsibility project, but the
irony is not social responsibility. They need to use healthy and high quality materials anyway. And
they are not helping the farmers. Of course, it is a help to buy their goods, but they just covered the
procurement and preparation costs themselves. But they want to eat well in this epidemic. The
company buys the Farmer's property and sells it for a higher price. McDonalds is just brokering. But
this is not social responsibility. If the farmers had given an additional share of the income obtained,
it could have been a social responsibility.

Where CSR position at TOMS?
TOMS is a charity or brand?
TOMS's mission is to donate a pair of shoes for every pair they sell and has
resulted in the donation of over 60 million pairs of shoes to children in need.
Profits are used to assist the visually-impaired by providing prescription glasses
and medical treatments, provide'safe' drinking water and build businesses in
developing countries to create jobs.
BUT That is their mission. Is this a social responsibility?
It is nice that they fulfill their mission, but this is how the brand's mission is to
market itself. This is not a social responsibility project, it seems to me to be a
way of marketing the image of the brand, but that is their mission. They do not
need to be socially responsible, they are like charities. It's okay because that's
what their mission is anyway, but if they want to get ahead of their competitors
in the shoe market, I wouldn't know to take shelter behind their missions mm ...
Just because of that, I'm not saying I should buy a TOMS shoe!
no advertising investments, no brand image stance. This charity job is not social
responsibility anyway, this is their mission. It's a little confusing. But because
their mission is good; score 8/10 but remember it's not a social responsibility, it's
a marketing method. And that's why they bring the needy people to the forefront,
not their products. and that sounds a bit like a fraud to me. score 7/10. In fact, it
seems like the others are more sincere than Toms,
so we turn off the 5/10 vote.

BOSCH
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, ligula
suspendisse nulla pretium, rhoncus tempor.
Half of Bosch’s research and development budget is invested in creating environmental
protection technology. By 2021 the company will have invested €50 million to support
universities and research programs that are focused on the environment, energy and mobility in
Germany, India, the U.S and China through Bosch Energy Research Network, otherwise
known as BERN.
But it is not social responsibility fully. Their sounds like they give a tool to boost and feed their
industry needs..But their to stakeholders , it is good approach. That's why they invest in
innovations that will make their work easier. This is not like a social responsibility ...But since
environmental protection technology is an issue that concerns the masses, it could not be a
better solution.

Google is trusted not only for its environmentally friendly initiatives but also due to
their outspoken CEO Sundar Pichai. He stands up against social issues including
President Donald Trump’s anti-Muslim comments. Google also earned RI’s highest
CSR score much in part due to their data center using 50% less energy than others
in the world.
They also have committed over $1 billion to renewable energy projects and enable
other businesses to reduce their environmental impact through services such as
Gmail. So stakeholders needs are also fed. It also offers free certification courses,
which is great for the software they develop. In order to say’’ It is addictive, please
see the message ..’’ They did it in the documentary, and the public became
conscious.
I guess they need to give money to the consumer in order not to use google.
