MOTIVATING / COACHING
• Describe a situation where you presented a positive view to others who were pessimistic.
How did you approach them?
What impact did you have on the situation? What was the outcome?
• Describe a time when you provided feedback to a peer when his or her work was off track.
What was the situation? How did you approach things with your peer?
How did the person respond to your feedback?
What was the outcome? Did your relationship change?
TEAMWORK
• Give me an example of when you had to support others on your team.
What did you do to support them?
Did your support change things? If so how?
• Tell me about a time when you had team members who were difficult to work with.
Why were they difficult to work with? What did you do? What were the results?
INITIATIVE
• Describe an occasion when you took responsibility for making a key decision.
What was the circumstance? What decision did you make? Why?
How comfortable were you with making the decision and why?
How did you implement the decision? What were the results?

What do you do to proactively deal with stress. Tell me about a time when you had to deal with a lot of
stress and how you handled it.
• Optimism: Describe your general attitude to work and life.
What does “good attitude” mean to you? This glass I’m holding, how would you describe it – as half-
full or half-empty and what’s the difference – is there a difference – does it matter?
• Tell me about a situation when you had to handle criticism and/or complaints

• Describe a recent example when it was important for you to establish rapport quickly.
