 Attend all classes, write down assignments
 Create positive atmosphere at home
 Be a good role model
 Ensure daily listening
 Daily practising, follow excactly the teacher´s
instructions
ROLE OF TEACHER
 To understand the suzuki methodology
 Know how to work with children
 To be a good role model, demonstrate well with
beautiful tone
 Give clear assignments and be well organised
 To be pleasant and creative
ROLE OF CHILDREN
 Learn to concentrate
 Learn to follow instructions
 Learn to practice, repeat,
 Listen every day
 Whatch other children
 Learn to work with other children in a group
IDEAS TO CONSIDER WHEN PRACTICING
 Positive environment, amusing, stimulating, relaxed...
 Give time– no stress!
 Praise first – then suggest improvements
 Have fun – it is contagious!
 Ask – do not tell!
 Correct without words (actions, imitations, sounds)
 Help the children to be responsible themselves
 Give the children space to discover themselves
WHAT MOTIVATES THE CHILDREN?
 Listen to other children play
 To know the repertoire
 To progress
 To associate music with pleasant and positive activities.
 Group lessons that are fun and filled with inspiration
 Play in a concert
 Participate in workshops
WHAT CREATES RESULTS
 Listen, listen, listen and listen again!!
 Practice daily and follow exactly the teacher´s
instructions
 Be in a positive environment

GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS
 Always praise first– but be honest!
 Then suggest a point to work on
 Critisize an object (naughty finger) or an act, but not the
child itself.
 Ask, don´t tell!
 Be in a good mood!!
 Work on one point at a time
 Be absolutely sure on what and how to practice!
 If not – ask the teacher after the lesson!
RESULTS
 Amasing results in Japan!
 The mothers obey and respect the teacher
 The children obey their parents
 Great respect for teachers
 One hobby, not ten!
AT LAST... BUT NOT THE LEAST!
 Discipline = result = enjoyment!

  • 3. THE ROLE OF THE PARENTS  Attend all classes, write down assignments  Create positive atmosphere at home  Be a good role model  Ensure daily listening  Daily practising, follow excactly the teacher´s instructions
  • 4. ROLE OF TEACHER  To understand the suzuki methodology  Know how to work with children  To be a good role model, demonstrate well with beautiful tone  Give clear assignments and be well organised  To be pleasant and creative
  • 5. ROLE OF CHILDREN  Learn to concentrate  Learn to follow instructions  Learn to practice, repeat,  Listen every day  Whatch other children  Learn to work with other children in a group
  • 6. IDEAS TO CONSIDER WHEN PRACTICING  Positive environment, amusing, stimulating, relaxed...  Give time– no stress!  Praise first – then suggest improvements  Have fun – it is contagious!  Ask – do not tell!  Correct without words (actions, imitations, sounds)  Help the children to be responsible themselves  Give the children space to discover themselves
  • 7. WHAT MOTIVATES THE CHILDREN?  Listen to other children play  To know the repertoire  To progress  To associate music with pleasant and positive activities.  Group lessons that are fun and filled with inspiration  Play in a concert  Participate in workshops
  • 8. WHAT CREATES RESULTS  Listen, listen, listen and listen again!!  Practice daily and follow exactly the teacher´s instructions  Be in a positive environment

GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS  Always praise first– but be honest!  Then suggest a point to work on  Critisize an object (naughty finger) or an act, but not the child itself.  Ask, don´t tell!  Be in a good mood!!  Work on one point at a time  Be absolutely sure on what and how to practice!  If not – ask the teacher after the lesson!
  • 11. RESULTS  Amasing results in Japan!  The mothers obey and respect the teacher  The children obey their parents  Great respect for teachers  One hobby, not ten!
  • 12. AT LAST... BUT NOT THE LEAST!  Discipline = result = enjoyment!
