  3. 3. Canva is a free graphic-design tool website, founded in 2012.
  4. 4. It has an easy to use drag-and-drop interface
  5. 5. and provides access to over a million photographs,
  6. 6. graphics, and fonts.
  7. 7. It is used by non- designers as well as professionals.
  8. 8. The tools can be used for both web
  9. 9. and print media design and graphics.
  10. 10. How to use Canva to create Facebook Posts?
  11. 11. First, open your browser
  12. 12. On the address bar,
  13. 13. Type in www.canva.com
  14. 14. Press Enter
  15. 15. Canva homepage will appear
  16. 16. Choose ways to sign up
  17. 17. For this presentation, let me sign up with email
  18. 18. Check your inbox and confirm Canva acount
  19. 19. Upon signing in, Canva dashboard will appear
  20. 20. Let’s start using Canva to create a Facebook post!
  21. 21. Click “Create a design” on the upper left of the homepage
  22. 22. This will appear
  23. 23. Click “Facebook Post”
  24. 24. A new screen appears
  25. 25. This is your canvas
  26. 26. Choose your layout from the “LAYOUTS” section
  27. 27. Here are some of the layouts you can choose. Scroll down for more.
  28. 28. Select the image you chose.
  29. 29. For this example, I will choose this image.
  30. 30. The image will appear in the canvas portion.
  31. 31. If you are now satisfied with the image,
  32. 32. Then go ahead and post it on Facebook.
  33. 33. To do this, click “Share” on the upper right hand corner of the screen.
  34. 34. After clicking “Share”, this will appear.
  35. 35. Now, click “Social”
  36. 36. This will appear
  37. 37. Click “f” for Facebook and allow Canva to access your Facebook account
  38. 38. Write a caption if you wish
  39. 39. Then hit “Share now”
  40. 40. That’s it! You just used Canva to create a Facebook post.
  41. 41. But wait! There’s more.
  42. 42. The beauty about using Canva is that
  43. 43. You can always edit your layout using Canva tools
  44. 44. The tabs on the left side of Canva screen will help you edit your posts
  45. 45. Clicking “ELEMENTS” will make you insert shapes, lines, charts and more.
  46. 46. “TEXT” will let you insert new texts with different fonts
  47. 47. “BKGROUND” will let you edit the background of your work
  48. 48. And “UPLOADS” will let you insert photos and backgrounds from your own file
  49. 49. Let’s say I would like to change the background of our previous example
  50. 50. First thing to do is to select the background from your canvas
  51. 51. These options will appear
  52. 52. Hit the delete icon
  53. 53. Then click “Delete element”
  54. 54. The background will be deleted
  55. 55. Let’s insert a new background
  56. 56. Click “BKGROUND”
  57. 57. Select backgrounds from the list
  58. 58. The list consists of free and paid backgrounds
  59. 59. For this example, I will just choose a free background
  60. 60. The canvas was updated upon clicking the chosen background
  61. 61. Let’s try changing the fonts
  62. 62. First thing, click the original text box
  63. 63. These options appear
  64. 64. Click delete
  65. 65. The original text was deleted
  66. 66. Now click “TEXT”
  67. 67. Choose text format from the list
  68. 68. Select your desired format
  69. 69. The selected font appears on your canvas
  70. 70. Edit the text
  71. 71. And post it on Facebook using the same steps we have discussed before.
  72. 72. How to save your post in your computer?
  73. 73. Click “Download”
  74. 74. This will appear
  75. 75. Choose your desired format
  76. 76. In my case, I will select JPG
  77. 77. Click “Download”
  78. 78. Downloading…
  79. 79. Download complete
  80. 80. Open your downloaded file
  81. 81. This is your downloaded masterpiece
  82. 82. You can also find it in your “Downloads” folder in your computer
  83. 83. By the way, you can also post your masterpiece in Tweeter
  84. 84. Just click the “Tweet” button and sign in to your Tweeter account
  85. 85. You can also send your masterpiece to your email account
  86. 86. Just click the “Email” button as seen below
  87. 87. There you have it!
  88. 88. What we have demonstrated
  89. 89. is just one of the million ways to use Canva
  90. 90. to create Facebook posts.
