Li-Fi (Light Fidelity) is a fast, cheap kind of transition of data through
light.
It’s a Visible Light Communication.
Since it’s just light, it can be safely implemented in sensitive areas
such as airplanes and hospitals.
It can reach places Wi-Fi can’t reach like underwater.
It can be implemented even in highways, since highways have lights.
It more secure than Wi-Fi since the signal isn’t traveling, it is from the
light directly above you.

4. Working Technology
It’s very simply, if the LED is on, you transmit a digital 1, if it’s off you
transmit a 0, they can be switched on and off too fast.
Light fluctuate too fast, that human eye can not notice.
It can be any type of light.
One side (Sender) has an LED lamp for data transmission, the other
side (Receiver) has a photodetector which transfer light signal into
data and send it to client.
VLC data rate can be expanded by parallel information transmission
utilizing LED series where every LED transmits an alternate information
stream.

Using the light of a museum for example, you can provide information about
the item being watched
Let us say that you are watching a painting in some museum, the light exactly
above the painting can provide information about it.

Using light in the shopping mall, you can provide information about offers, or

Li-Fi offers the possibility of car to car communication using headlights and

11. Application - Medical Application
Li-Fi offers the possibility of providing high speed internet in the most
sensitive rooms of the hospital, which doesn’t allow Wi-Fi or cellular data
before.
Since the light is part of the rooms there will be no more radiation, and it will
not cause any interference with medical equipment.
