HDPE (3)
1. HDPE(High Density Polyethylene) IMPERMEABLE
MEMBRANE BIOGAS GENERATE TANK
Features of HDPE:
o It is a membrane covered biogas generator tank. Derived from its
scientific name “Fully enclosed anaerobic pond “.
o This tank’s volume is 15,000 m3
. It is 4-5 meters high from the ground
to the top of membrane and 10 meters deep from the ground to the
bottom of the pond.
o This tank keeps 7 meters deep of water and full of biogas above the
water.
Biogas can be transformed into electrical energy that provide the
livestock farm with warmth and light the modern equipment.
Membrane covered biogas generate tank can keep 15 times volume of biogas
than common biogas tank. It can generate electricity continuously all day.
Membrane covered biogas generate tank has a large volume of anaerobic
2. fermentation; it can keep the sewage for longer time and generates much
more biogas. It applies very well to animal waste treatment in large livestock
farms.
Compare to other common biogas tank, it has lower construction cost. It
does not need to use any conventional building materials (such as steel bar,
steel plates, concrete, bricks) that can reduce the cost significantly. It has
easier maintenance, more gas and more electricity generation. In addition
to these, treatment of sewage by biological composting and anaerobic
fermentation, most of the harmful bacteria and parasitic eggs in the sewage
are killed. Therefore, humans are protected from water pollution.
It is particularly suitable for tropical countries. The black membrane absorbs
heat from the long hours of sunshine. This supplies a best condition of
moderate temperature anaerobic fermentation; a large amount of biogas will
be generated.
At present, membrane covered biogas generate tank is applied and promoted
very well in Thailand and Indonesia.
