“The definitions have changed. 75% of our revenue come from stuff
that Don Draper wouldn't recognize. The Business has changed”

"The agency model is not going to bend-it's
going to break… This is a disruption that has
happened around us, and we are still talking
about 30-second television ads. The big kind
of global alignment agency is a dinosaur
concept"
Brad Jakeman, Pepsico’s President

“Ad tech is heading toward a big ugly
crash, and it’s going to take a lot of
agencies down with it”
Bob Hoffman, Writer, speaker and partner in

22. “Try and resist thinking about digital in terms of
the tools, the platforms, the QR Codes and all of
the technology coming next. The era of digital
marketing is over. It's almost dead. It's now just
brand building. It's what we do”
Marc Pritchard, P&G’s global brand building officer

Long live the digital !
30. "We have to be so real time that a larger agency just couldn't do
it for us, so we decided to actually take all that money that we
were using with an outside agency and build it internally”.
Deirdre Bigley, Bloomberg's CMO

40. "We always think about things in glorious canvases,
on big screens. But as consumers, we consume most
of it in our palms. We're an industry obsessed with
the storytelling side of things, the content. And then
we got obsessed with the canvas. Is it going to be on
television? Is it print? And now the canvas is mobile.
But what we really need to think about is the context”
David Droga, Droga5 Founder

“Data and technology are the two forces that will most shape
advertising’s future. Data allows better understanding of consumers.
This means brands will be able to pitch more relevant messages to
consumers more often. However, this data is nothing without the
technology that enables the insights and efficient delivery”

“Agencies are stuck in a mind-set from more than 20
years ago, when creating four pieces of content a
year, each taking about four months to make, with a
budget of $2 million- in other words, big-budget TV
spots was normal. Nowadays, brands are pushing out
more like 400 to 4,000 pieces of content a year on a
$20,000 budget.”
Brad Jakeman, Pepsico’s President

not Advertising”
