MIKE DASTIC WHAT ARE THE FUNCTIONS OF A SELLER?
Every salesperson should be clear about what their job is, what their main functions are:
1. INVESTIGATE YOUR AREA
The seller must know and collect all the information he can about competition, products,
customer needs, new uses for his products …
* Know what is bought and why: benefits and characteristics of products / services
* Understand how you buy: conditions of sale
* Learn everything about the product: handle the product with ease
* Knowing the service: the characteristics of the provision of the service itself
* Know the price: know the price and its modifications
* Know the competition
* Understand your offer: competing products / services and their differences
* Know your price: and ongoing special campaigns
2. SELL
The seller must know what their customers may need, when, what price they are willing to pay
for it and if they can afford it. With this knowledge, the sale and its respective tasks must be
executed:
* Achieve the objectives: meet the sales quotas (objectives), planning your business visits and
meeting the deadlines
* Increase market: continuously looking for new sales opportunities
* Reduce your expenses: get the least expense derived from sales operations
* Increase brand awareness: maintaining / improving corporate image in customer relationships
* Give Feedback: reporting errors in the processes and / or proposing improvements
3. STRENGTHEN THE RELATIONSHIP WITH CUSTOMERS
Once the sale has been made, the seller must monitor the evolution of the customer's
consumption, notify him of news, advise on the best way to use the products, but above all
understand how and when the customer can be helped.
* Address claims
* Explain available promotions and offers
* Perform product demonstrations
* Give advice on how to use the product
* Solve questions about the service
* Report guarantees and insurance
* Inform about alternatives
* Get information about the market
* Give after-sales service
