About PDA
In 1975 the Greater Peshawar Metropolitan Authority (PMA) was created under Urban Planning Act 1975. In 1978 the Provincial Government promulgated Urban
Planning Ordinance (UPO) & under its Section-17 Local Area Authorities (LAAs) were established and the PMA was renamed as PDA. Provincial Urban Development
Board (PUDB) was established under section - 3 of the UPO to run the affairs of the LAAs under the administrative control of Physical Planning & Housing Department
(PP&H), Provincial Government.n 2001 the Local Area Authorities were devolved to respective City / District Government under Local Government Ordinance 2001 and
UPO – 1978 was repealed through an Ordinance in May 2002. In 2012 all the Local Area Authorities under section 80 were placed under the administrative control of
Local Government & Rural Development Department Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In 2013 All the Local Area Authorities under section 121(2) retained in Local
Government, Elections & Rural Development Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa & shall continue to exercise administrative controls over Local Area Authorities.

Nishter Hall Ring Road through Asian Development Bank, Archive Building, Sports facilities, General Bus Stand, Aza Khel Park, Kund Park, Kohat Bus Stand, Gulshan- e-
Rahman Colony, Chowkyadgar,Auquaf Plaza, Intersection at Jail Chowk, Conservation of Gorghatri, Faqirabad Overhead Bridge, Malik Saad Shaheed Flyover, Arbab
Sikandar Khan Khalil Flyover at Gulbahar & Nishterabad Intersections on G.T Road and so on.
On-Going Projects:
Construction of Service Road on Ring road(Southern Section) from G.T Road Zakori Flyover to Hayatabad Toll Plaza,Plantation on Ring Road from G.T Road to
Hayatabad Peshawar, Urban Roads in Peshawar, Government Degree College for (Boys) Chowk to Faqirabad Police Station, Bacha Khan Chowk to Bashirabad Canal
Peshawar, Shama Cenema Chowk to Federal Lodges Shami Road Peshawar, Shahi Bagh Road from Municipal Girls Inter College Charsadda Road and so on.
Problem:
Negative Attitude towards their work and communication gap with other staff members, i-e, any information passed on by managers or directors is not passed on to
other staff members the way it should be, and also the staff is not performing their work with due responsibility.

  • 2. Peshawar Development Authority, Peshawar, KPK. About PDA In 1975 the Greater Peshawar Metropolitan Authority (PMA) was created under Urban Planning Act 1975. In 1978 the Provincial Government promulgated Urban Planning Ordinance (UPO) & under its Section-17 Local Area Authorities (LAAs) were established and the PMA was renamed as PDA. Provincial Urban Development Board (PUDB) was established under section - 3 of the UPO to run the affairs of the LAAs under the administrative control of Physical Planning & Housing Department (PP&H), Provincial Government.n 2001 the Local Area Authorities were devolved to respective City / District Government under Local Government Ordinance 2001 and UPO – 1978 was repealed through an Ordinance in May 2002. In 2012 all the Local Area Authorities under section 80 were placed under the administrative control of Local Government & Rural Development Department Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In 2013 All the Local Area Authorities under section 121(2) retained in Local Government, Elections & Rural Development Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa & shall continue to exercise administrative controls over Local Area Authorities. Completed Projects: Project Details Nishter Hall Ring Road through Asian Development Bank, Archive Building, Sports facilities, General Bus Stand, Aza Khel Park, Kund Park, Kohat Bus Stand, Gulshan- e- Rahman Colony, Chowkyadgar,Auquaf Plaza, Intersection at Jail Chowk, Conservation of Gorghatri, Faqirabad Overhead Bridge, Malik Saad Shaheed Flyover, Arbab Sikandar Khan Khalil Flyover at Gulbahar & Nishterabad Intersections on G.T Road and so on. On-Going Projects: Construction of Service Road on Ring road(Southern Section) from G.T Road Zakori Flyover to Hayatabad Toll Plaza,Plantation on Ring Road from G.T Road to Hayatabad Peshawar, Urban Roads in Peshawar, Government Degree College for (Boys) Chowk to Faqirabad Police Station, Bacha Khan Chowk to Bashirabad Canal Peshawar, Shama Cenema Chowk to Federal Lodges Shami Road Peshawar, Shahi Bagh Road from Municipal Girls Inter College Charsadda Road and so on. Problem: Negative Attitude towards their work and communication gap with other staff members, i-e, any information passed on by managers or directors is not passed on to other staff members the way it should be, and also the staff is not performing their work with due responsibility.
