3. Generating Revenue
Repeat viewers can be 20% of your
audience but…
How do you generate revenue without
pissing off your audience?
4. The Chicken and the Egg problem
● Nobody can create content without a
revenue source!
● Sponsors want their ads in your content
but, audiences don’t like evasive ads!
It’s a BALANCE.
5. Why Engagement is Important
● Twitch TV says the main reason for
subscribing is to support the
broadcaster.
● Traditional sports integrate their content
with their sponsors to avoid poor
audience engagement.
6. Video vs. Written Word
“Unless you are an ‘elite’ writer, you are
doing it WRONG if, you haven’t gone into
video.” - Rod Breslau
Chris Radtke, “the cost of producing video
is still more EXPENSIVE than the written
word.”
7. Balance is the KEY to success!
The game looks BEAUTIFUL so, video
content can literally just make itself from
your bedroom webcam and some creative
editing.
You can make a TON of content from
gameplay analysis and commentary.
8. Introverts Need NOT Apply!
You:
can NOT be shy and expect opportunity to
find YOU!
MUST PROMOTE YOURSELF!
...and FIGHT FOR IT!
