  2. 2. The background<br />Medical terms related to blood often begin with the prefix<br /> Haem-.<br />Haemophobia: <br />An abnormal fear of <br />the blood. <br />
  3. 3. Haemorrhage:<br />Blood bleeding.<br />Haematology:<br />The study of the blood.<br />Haemophilia:<br />Is a disease of a blood.<br />Haemorrhage:<br />Is a bruise of a blood.<br />
  4. 4. From what place the blood can be formed ?<br />Blood can be formed from the bone marrow by a process called Haemogemesis. <br />

  7. 7. The body can replace blood when it is lost in small quantities, but when someone loses a lot of blood through a major wound, it can only be replaced quickly through blood transfusion. <br />
  8. 8. Transfusion:noun<br />The transfer of blood from one individual to circulatory system of another.<br />
  9. 9. 1.Transfusion of the wrong blood can be fatal. <br />2. So patients and blood are cross-matched before a transfusion. <br />3.There is no such thing as artificial blood but when there is sever blood loss, laboratory-made substitutes can often be used in emergencies. <br />

Blood Test<br />An extremely useful source of information about the health of the body. <br />Blood is affected by many medical conditions; the shape, the size, behavior, and numbers of blood cells reveal a lot.<br />Blood test are used to form diagnoses, to monitor illnesses and the effectiveness of treatment.<br />
