The 4th industrial revolution is certainly technological. Here are the 10 most striking trends that we will have to prepare for in 2020, CIOs and Business Lines.
Gartner and Forrester are aligned with these trends. But let's not forget the human factor, the relationship, the interest of the client and the support of our employees. We could also add the 5G network, autonomous driving or predictive medicine, but I will come back in detail on these technologies later this year.

What Is Multiexperience ?
Multiexperience is a concept pioneered by Gartner late in 2019
and is about adapting to the increasing market of different
devices and their respective experiences. Applications now
need to run on different platforms and adapt easily, all while
providing a consistent experience from a business perspective.

3.Human Augmentation
3
What Human Augmentation ?
Is sometimes painted as extreme, futuristic tech, but the reality is
that many forms of human augmentation are available today. If done
correctly, augmentation has the potential to improve our health,
entertainment, productivity, and overall quality of life.
Human augmentation is “technologies that enhance human
productivity or capability, or that somehow add to the human body”.

6.The Empowered Edge
6
What Is Edge Computing?
Edge computing is a networking philosophy focused on
bringing computing as close to the source of data as possible in
order to reduce latency and bandwidth use. In simpler terms,
edge computing means running fewer processes in the cloud
and moving those processes to local places, such as on a
user’s computer, an IoT device, or an edge server. Bringing
computation to the network’s edge minimizes the amount of
long-distance communication between a client and server.

7.Distributed Cloud
7
What is Distributed Cloud Computing? And How It Works?
Distributed Cloud Computing generalizes the cloud computing
model to position, process, and serve data and applications from
geographically distributed sites to meet requirements for
performance, redundancy and regulations.
The key advantage of using cloud services is the ability of service
users to not maintain and operate their own IT infrastructure, and
shift CAPEX to OPEX by using the utility-like model of purchasing
computing and storage on demand.

8.Autonomous Things
8
The arrival of autonomous cars will likely not simply result in
everyone possessing virtual chauffers. Rather, it will have a
transformative impact on the design (why have a steering
wheel in a car you don’t drive?) and ownership of vehicles.
This last point is being explored by Tesla for example, which
is planning on allowing owners of Tesla vehicles to send out
their cars to act autonomously in robotaxi fleets, earning
money both for Tesla and the owners.

9.Practical Blockchain
9
What Is Blockchain Technology?
The term "blockchain technology" typically refers to the transparent,
trustless, publicly accessible ledger that allows us to securely transfer the
ownership of units of value using public key encryption and proof of work
methods.
The technology uses decentralized consensus to maintain the network,
which means it is not centrally controlled by a bank, corporation, or
government. In fact, the larger the network grows and becomes increasingly
decentralized, the more secure it becomes.
The potential for blockchain technology is not limited to bitcoin. As such, it
has gained a lot of attention in a variety of industries including: financial
services, charities and nonprofits, the arts, and e-commerce

AI is at the crossroad of multiple fields: computer science,
mathematics (logics, optimisation, analysis, probabilities,
linear algebra...), cognitive science... These core scientific
disciplines also need to be mixed with the specific
knowledge of the fields they are applied to, and each
algorithm in AI is supported by a mix of techniques:
semantic analysis, symbolic computing, machine learning,
exploratory analysis, deep learning and neural networks...
