This is when we can get in over our head / level of competence
High Competence and Low/Variable Commitment
• Need low key check ins to ensure staying on track
• Set goals and objectives
• Ensure process and key skills understood and being used
• Introduce additional resources as required
• Pacing – Do not over do it. Low commitment = low buy in
i.e. Need to create buy in first. Then ensure buy in continues
High Competence and High Commitment
• Need low key check ins, goal setting to check status
• Pacing – Check for comfort with productivity and process
• Set goals and objectives
• Ensure process understood
• Introduce resources as required
Increase distance between check in as progress is made
• Consider having them coach others. Train others in time.
