INTERMITTENT GAS LIFT

HOME SCREEN
Double click on System Summary
Here u can add the name of the company and all other user information
Click on Done
Now double click on Pvt Data
Add the values. For solution GOR value is 200, Oil gravity 28, Gas Gravity 6 and Water
Salinity 1,00,000.


Click on Match Data
Add the temperature value as 170 and bubble point 1650
In the table below, add the pressure value as 1650, Gas oil rate 200, Oil FVF 1,098,
and oil VISCOSITY 2.5.
Then click on Done
Now click on Regression.
Then click on Match All.
Now you all can see the PVT match in the Green box
Click on Main
Double click on Equipment Data
Select all data except Surface equipment as we are interested in subsurface data
Click on Edit.
In the measured depth column add 1st 0 and 2nd value 7500, similarly in true vertical
depth column as 1st value o and 2nd 7500
Click Done
Click on a cell below the Xmas tree and select tubing and again click on the cell below tubing and select casing.
Now in the measured depth column add tubing value as 7400 and casing value 7500, In Column tubing inside
dia., in the row of tubing add value as 1.703. In Column of casing inside dia., in the row of casing add value as 6.1
Click on Done
In Formation measured depth column add 1st value o and 2nd value 7500.
In Formation temperature column add 1st value 60 and 2nd 170.
Add the value of Over heat transfer coefficient as 3
Click on done
Click on Done
Click on summary
Click on Draw Downhole
This the Design of downhole tubing and casing
Click on Main
Now Double click on IPR Data
Select the Reservoir model as PI entry then add the value of reservoir pressure 1800, reservoir temp. 170,
water 90 .
Then click on input data
Add value of Productivity Index PI as 1
Click on Calculate
This is IPR plot
Click on Main
Now click on Calculation, then on System(ipr+vlp) and then on 3 variables
Add top node pressure 50
Click on Continue
In variable 1 select blank box and click on continue
Click on calculate
Click on plot
This is IPR and VLP plot
They are not intersecting means well is not producing
so now we have to use Artificial lifting for well to produce
Click on Finish
Let's do one more check. In variable 1 select the Water cut option. now add the
values as 0 ,10, 20, 30,....upto 90 and click on continue
Click on Calculate.
Still, in the solution part, we can't see any data which means well is not producing
Click on plot
This graph indicate same that well is not producing
Click on Main
Double click on System summary. In artificial lift select Gas lift (intermittent)
Click on Done
Double click on equipment data and select downhole equipment.
Click on edit
In tubing row add the value of tubing inside dia as 2.375 and casing inside dia 6.1
Click on Main
Double click on Intermittent Gas lift input data
Surface injection pressure is 1500, injection depth is 7000, gaslift gravity is 0.6, wellhead pressure is 50, Valve port size is 22,
water cut is 80 and tubing liquid level is 4500
Click on Done
Now click on Design and select Intermittent Gas lift option
Click on calculate
Now we have to design the valve
click on valve and select constant surface closing pressure
Now add the values
Surface injection pressure is 1500, unloading fluid gradient is0.45, Spacing Factor is 0.2, Wellhead pressure is 50,
surface closing pressure is 1300, and max injection depth is 7000
Click on calculate
This show position of valve
Click on Done
Now, lets check whether well is producing or not.
Click on System 3 variable and click on continue
Click on Plot
So here we can see IPR and VLP are intersecting this indicate well is producing

  • 3. Double click on System Summary Here u can add the name of the company and all other user information Click on Done
  • 4. Now double click on Pvt Data Add the values. For solution GOR value is 200, Oil gravity 28, Gas Gravity 6 and Water Salinity 1,00,000. Click on Match Data
  • 5. Add the temperature value as 170 and bubble point 1650 In the table below, add the pressure value as 1650, Gas oil rate 200, Oil FVF 1,098, and oil VISCOSITY 2.5. Then click on Done
  • 6. Now click on Regression. Then click on Match All. Now you all can see the PVT match in the Green box Click on Main
  • 7. Double click on Equipment Data Select all data except Surface equipment as we are interested in subsurface data Click on Edit.
  • 8. In the measured depth column add 1st 0 and 2nd value 7500, similarly in true vertical depth column as 1st value o and 2nd 7500 Click Done
  • 9. Click on a cell below the Xmas tree and select tubing and again click on the cell below tubing and select casing. Now in the measured depth column add tubing value as 7400 and casing value 7500, In Column tubing inside dia., in the row of tubing add value as 1.703. In Column of casing inside dia., in the row of casing add value as 6.1 Click on Done
  • 10. In Formation measured depth column add 1st value o and 2nd value 7500. In Formation temperature column add 1st value 60 and 2nd 170. Add the value of Over heat transfer coefficient as 3 Click on done
  • 11. Click on Done Click on summary
  • 12. Click on Draw Downhole
  • 13. This the Design of downhole tubing and casing Click on Main
  • 14. Now Double click on IPR Data Select the Reservoir model as PI entry then add the value of reservoir pressure 1800, reservoir temp. 170, water 90 . Then click on input data
  • 15. Add value of Productivity Index PI as 1 Click on Calculate
  • 16. This is IPR plot Click on Main
  • 17. Now click on Calculation, then on System(ipr+vlp) and then on 3 variables
  • 18. Add top node pressure 50 Click on Continue
  • 19. In variable 1 select blank box and click on continue
  • 21. This is IPR and VLP plot They are not intersecting means well is not producing so now we have to use Artificial lifting for well to produce Click on Finish
  • 22. Let's do one more check. In variable 1 select the Water cut option. now add the values as 0 ,10, 20, 30,....upto 90 and click on continue
  • 23. Click on Calculate. Still, in the solution part, we can't see any data which means well is not producing Click on plot
  • 24. This graph indicate same that well is not producing Click on Main
  • 25. Double click on System summary. In artificial lift select Gas lift (intermittent) Click on Done
  • 26. Double click on equipment data and select downhole equipment. Click on edit In tubing row add the value of tubing inside dia as 2.375 and casing inside dia 6.1 Click on Main
  • 27. Double click on Intermittent Gas lift input data Surface injection pressure is 1500, injection depth is 7000, gaslift gravity is 0.6, wellhead pressure is 50, Valve port size is 22, water cut is 80 and tubing liquid level is 4500 Click on Done
  • 28. Now click on Design and select Intermittent Gas lift option
  • 30. Now we have to design the valve click on valve and select constant surface closing pressure
  • 31. Now add the values Surface injection pressure is 1500, unloading fluid gradient is0.45, Spacing Factor is 0.2, Wellhead pressure is 50, surface closing pressure is 1300, and max injection depth is 7000 Click on calculate
  • 32. This show position of valve Click on Done
  • 33. Now, lets check whether well is producing or not. Click on System 3 variable and click on continue Click on Plot
  • 34. So here we can see IPR and VLP are intersecting this indicate well is producing
