While passing through the officially-controlled Ukraine-Russia border, Russian
Federation Captain Sergey Kutsenko and Major Alexandr Kornik were found to
be in possession of 14 Russian military manuals marked «For Official Use» on
the topics of:
Blasting and mine clearance;
Installation of machine guns on vehicles;
Creation and fortification of defenses.
The search also discovered that a Russian Federation Major assigned to the
JCCC under the name Aleksandr Valentinovych Akimov was, in fact, named
Andrey Valeriyovych Akimov and there was no proper documentation for
Captain Sergey Mihkailovych Kutsenko.
A decision was made for them to return to Russia due to insufficient legal
grounds for re-entry into Ukraine.
