MOD3 Guardian®
Portals Options
MOD3 Bi-directional units are available for space-saving in-between doorways. One reader
can power four antennas, with two sets of antennas each reading in opposite directions.
A Bidirectional unit is made by bolting the Antenna Mount Kit onto the back of the Reader
Cabinet using four bolts. The unit footprint is 24 x 28 wide including covers.
Directional Motion Sensors: The portals take
advantage of the latest motion sensors to identify
the movement of pallets or other objects
in front of the portal and provide a digital signal to
the reader via GPIO input.
Light Stacks: Portals can be configured with a light
stack so that your RFID system may signal operators
to various success and error conditions, both
visually and audibly. Standard red, amber, green,
and alarm function.
Heavy-Connect: Instead of conduit, use Heavy-Connect piping
between the Reader Cabinet and Antenna Mount Kit in order to
mount overhead antennas. Cables must be cable-tied to the pole
for safety.
Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS): UPS can be
included to condition power and protect the
sensitive electronic equipment in the event of a
power failure.
Bollards: 42 tall; 3 thick steel bollard with radius cap,
powder-coated in safety yellow
