Wellston in 1865 in honor of the chief engineer who helped established a railroad route north to Macon. In 1943 Wellston
was renamed Warner Robins in honor of Brigadier General Augustine Warner Robins.
Warner Robins is located in the “heart of Georgia” just 20 miles south of Macon and over 100 miles south of Atlanta.
