1. A film Director is a person who directs the actors.
It takes responsibility of how to set the mood, visual look, and sound of a film.
Responsibilities / Work Included
o Coordinate the actors' moves
o Deciding camera angles & shots, effects and lighting ...
Location and Design
o Involved in the writing ‘script
o Developing storyboards
o Editing of a film
Directors must have a good feel for pacing and
structure and must know how to integrate and cut
scenes so they work effectively.
Also have excellent Leadership skills and able to
make decisions fast.

2. My Opening Sequence Idea
• Girl wakes up on an alleyway.
• She has her clothes ripped
• Her memory is lost (does not remember what happened to her)
• Quick flashback- showing her and her boyfriend fighting – there is also
another girl
• She still doesn’t know what happened between her and her boyfriend and
why is that girl there.

3. First Assistant Director
•I have excellent group working and listening skills.
•Assist the director, help to create their ideas, help
to manage the team.
•Watches the time, reminds director of how much
time is remaining
•I will be the person who says “CUT” , “ACTION” ,
“PLACES” .
•Work and instruct all positions to ensure people
are doing job.
•Organise actors and locations- I should keep an
organised record for these.

4. Opening Sequence Idea
• Showing happy couple
• Showing how girl will get addicted to
friends and boyfriend trying to tell her she
is wrong
• Showing friends giving her drugs
• Showing how her friends will bully her
boyfriend
• Showing part when she realises. (at the
end)

5. Art Director = Props/costumes
& continuity
• I have really good listening skills, and
the ability to work quickly and I’m
always on time with everything. I have
strong attention to little details as well.
My responsibility
• All props and costumes
• All time props and costumes are ready to
go, everyone wearing the right thing and
they got all there needs.
• Enough props and supplies if scene is
needs to be re-shot a few times.
• Write down the records prop and costume
positions. ( for the good continuity)

6. My Opening Sequence Idea
• Show when she sees her parents arguing
• Show She doesn’t understand what
happens
• Show she is running away from home
(being isolated)
• Show her being in the top of the roof
thinking about her life (flashback)

7. DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY
WHAT EXACTLY IS THIS PERSON:
-This person must be able to make sure that what
goes on screen looks visually pleasing.
- Checks Mise-En-Scene: Lighting issues
-Ensures the visuals are setting mood and making
people feel a certain way
-Works with director, to listen/make sure the visuals
are good and setting the mood
-Helps and instructs camera operators, could film
WHY DID I CHOOSE THIS:
Previous work on my media diploma I helped in:
-The director

-I filmed some parts
-I took pictures at the backstage
- I done the make up, helped to choice the special
clothes for the scene
- Finally, I have a semi professional camera Nikon
D3000

8. My Opening Sequence Idea
• The girl will do anything to have a better life.
• She desperate started crying
• The bad friend comes in this weak moment to offer
the bad things
• She find an old phone and call her father minutes
before she dies
• The girl start to remember what happened to her

9. Entirely New idea that we would like to take forward and
develop
• Girl abused by previous boyfriend
• Then She meets someone else
• She tries to forget what happened to her but an
image of the abusement comes in her mind all
the time.
• One time she wakes up scared and her boyfriend
doesn’t understand what’s happening to her.

10. CAMERA OPERATOR (everyone)
• We have technical abilities to work with camera
and excellent listening skills,
• We respect and value each others instructions
and ideas.
• We are all going to follow instructions from
Assistant Director and Director of Photography.
• We all going to film a scene using equipment;
cameras, tripods etc.
