Because it helped him to loose 50kg of weight and to correlate data to understand, why sport make him gain weight again. He concludes: Using Quantified Self technologies, you are not doing anything new. Your subconcious mind is already tracking data. But Quantified Self helps to lift striking patterns into the conciousness, where it can change your behavior. That said, such technologies are extending your ability to interpret data.
