Dumplings with Liptower
cheese
This

food is typical only for Slovakia.
It isn´t cooked in any other
country.Tradition of dumplings is
connected with untraditional life of
Slovak people and tradition of sheep
breeding and products made of sheep
milk particularly liptower cheese.
A glass of milk or boiled sheep
whey( žinčica ) is good with
dumplings with Liptower cheese.
 






Ingredients :
400g of flour , salt, 1 egg, water
250-300g of liptower cheese
60-80g of bacon
chives or dill

 













Instructions:
Wash potatoes.
Peel potatoes.
Grate them
Add flour and water.
Mix thick mixture
Put into the bowl and wait for 20 minutes.
Throw small dumplings into boiled salted water
They have to boil twice
Pick them up and wash with cold water.
Cover with fat from fried bacon and liptower cheese
Cover with small pieces of fried bacon.
Stuffed cakes ( Buchty)



Ingredients:
600 g of boiled mashed potatoes, A bit of salt
30 g of butter, 200 g of whole flour
1 egg , 80 g of butter for pouring
120 g of fine breadcrumbs, 40 g of butter for frying of bread crumbs
120 g of powdered sugar
500 g of plums



Instructions:

 

Mash boiled potatoes,
add flour, salt, butter and egg, mix very good,
Spread dough on the board , cut small squares,
put a plam in each square, make a small ball,
pour water into a pan, salt it and boil it ,
put balls into the water, boil for 5 minutes,
take out and put into a bowl, pour with drawn  butter,
fry the breadcrumbs,
cover the balls with fried breadcrumbs and powdered sugar.















Round cake with sheep cheese Pagáče
 Ingredients:
 250

g of flour
 180 g of fat
 180 g of sheep cheese , Salt
 1 yolk, White of egg
 Conditioner dough, Salt and cumin for sprinkle  
 Instructions:
 Put flour into a bowl , add fat, sheep cheese, salt, yolk
and a bit of conditioner dough,
 mix it very good, spread on the board – it can be 1cm
thick,
 cut round cakes , cover with egg white, salt, cumin
 bake until they are pink .
 We can add a grated cheese instead of sheep cheese.

Ingredients:





750 g of flour, A bit of salt
25 g of yeast, 4 – 4,5 g of milk
5 yolks, Vanilla sugar
40 g of drawn butter, 2 spoons of rum
30 g of powdered sugar, Oil for frying



 Instructions:

 

Make semiliquid yeast – put a bit of milk, half of sugar and so much flour to
make
semiliquid yeast,
keep in warm place to rise, warm the flour,
put it into a bowl, add leavened yeast, yolks mixed with a half of milk, vanilla
sugar, salt, rum, the rest of sugar and drawn butter,
mix it with wooden spoon and add slowly so much warm milk to make good
soft
dough, cover with table-napkin and keep in a warm place for 25-30 minutes,
spread the dough on the board – it can be 1,5 cm thick, cut the rounds,
keep in warm place to rise, fry in the hot oil on both sides, put on the plate,
sprinkle with vanilla sugar.
You can serve it with jam.














Polish Pancakes

Recipe
Ingredients:
• 150 g flour
• 2 eggs
• 250ml milk
• Pinch of salt
• Mineral water or plain water
• Butter of oil for frying
• Some icing sugar or cream
Put the eggs into the bowl and
pour the milk.
Add some flour.
Mix untill smooth.
Heat a lightly oiled frying pan over
medium high heat. Pour some mixture
on the pan. Fry on both sides. 
Serve with jam or cottage cheese.
Optionally you can put some icing
sugar or cream on you pancakes.
BON APPETIT!!!
Potato Pancakes
Polish Traditional Dish
Ingredients:
about

1 kilo potatoes,
 3 spoons flour,
1 egg,
salt and pepper,
oil for frying
1. Peel and wash the potatoes.
Then grate them.
2. Add one egg, three spoon of flour into
the grated potatoes. Do not forget to add
some salt and pepper.
3. Mix everything together.
4. Preheat the frying pan and pour
the oil.
5. Put a spoon of mixture on the
pan.
6. Fry on one side and then on
another until they are golden brown.
7 Put them on a plate.

You can also serve them with some
cream.

TRADITIONAL DISHES
Chocolate dates
Prepared

School

at Grunnskóli Bolungarvíkur
Ingredience:
360

g dates
240 g butter
120 g brown sugar
3 cups rice crispies
300 g dark chocolate
Method:
-

chop the dates
dissolve

the butter and sugar
together in a pot with the dates,
 stirring constantly


add the rice crispies
put

everything into
an aluminum mold
smooth and cool
dissolve

300 g of chocolate
over hot- water bath
pour chocolate
 over rice crispies
 put into the refrigerator
 and allow to set



cut into 2,5 * 2,5 cm squares
You

should take chocolate dates
 from the refrigerator well
 before it is to be eaten.
Enjoy delicious

TRADITIONAL
SPANISH DISHES
SPANISH TORTILLA
(OMELETTE)
Ingredients:
5 potatoes
4 eggs
1 onion
Olive oil
salt
Peel

the potatoes and cut them very thin
as shown in the picture.
Cut

the onion as shown in the picture
Put

a lot of oil in the fryingpan to cook the
potatoes and the onion. Move from time
to time so it won´t stick. When it is
cooked take the potatoes out of the oil
and put them in a bowl.
Stir

the four eggs and add them to the
cooked potatoes and onion. Stir everything
together in the bowl. Add salt as you wish.
Take

out all the oil of the fryingpan leaving
only a little bit. Pour all into the fryingpan
and put it on top of medium fire for about
5 or 6 minutes. Turn the omelette with a
lid or a flat dish…. (be careful!)
Leave

the omelette for other 5 minutes
more or less. Now the omelette is ready
to be eaten. Bon appetit!
Some people like
it not very well
done, just leave it
less time.

You can also serve it in
small dices.

TRADITIONAL DISHES
ZEBRA CAKE
BİNBAŞI NECATİ BEY İLKOKULU
İSTANBUL/TURKEY
Ingredients:
• 400 g flour
• 3 eggs
• 1 glass milk
• 1 glass oil
• 1 glass sugar
• 40 gr cocao
• 10 gr vanilin
• 10 gr baking
powder
Mix 3 eggs with sugar.
Add oil and milk
Add vanilla and baking
powder and flour.
Add the cacao.
…add1tablespoon cocoa and
mix..
And 1 tablespoon of simple
and mix…
Our Zebra Cake is ready.!
Yummy Yummmy 
You need some tomato
and cucumbers.
Wash the vegetables.
Cut cucumbers and tomatoes.
Put a bit of salt, lemon and oil.
Our salad is ready
Enjoy the meal!

Melt 125 g butter
Break the eggs into a bowl.
And mix them.
Add a cup of suggar.
Add a glass of milk… 
A little salt
And add the butter.
Add some powder…
And someVanilla powder…
Add the flour and finally…
Mix everything together.
Pour some whipping cream into the bowl.
…and flutter. Put it in the freezer to cool.
Oil the toasters.
Pour the mixture on a ladle …
Hııımmm…it smells yummy  
Now, it is time for someting delicious…!

Ingredients:
puff pastries
egg yolk
sausage
We put frozen puff pastry on the
table for melting.
We divide the sausages into four
pieces.
We divide the puff pastry.
We wrap sausages into puff pastry.
Rolls are ready to make.
We put them on greased paper on
a baking tray.
We put them all on the tray.
We flap an egg yolk.
We put some egg yolk on each roll.
Put the rolls into the oven
(hundred degrees) until they are
brownish.
And a big
moment!!!

Adding some sugar.
Pour a little bit of milk.
Add some vanilla.

It needs to be cooled.


