2. Lithuanian zeppelins
One of the most popular dishes of
Lithuanian cuisine is cepelin.
You will find them in almost every
Lithuanian restaurant.
Traditional cepelins are those with meat
stuffing and poured with cream and
greaves.
In Poland, the zeppelins are
called Kartacze.
3. Lithuanian zeppelins
Ingredients:
-1 kg of potatoes (0.5 kg of grated and 0.5
kg of boiled potatoes)
salt 1 tablespoon of potato flour Stuffing
- 350 g of minced meat
-1 egg
- 1 onion
- salt and pepper
• Stuffing
- 350 g of minced meat
- 1 egg
- 1 onion
4. Lithuanian zeppelins
• We prepare zeppelins from two types of
potatoes: cooked and raw. Peel all potatoes.
Boil some potatoes, grate the rest. I
recommend the electric grater,
unfortunately I did it by hand. Drain the
juice from the grated potatoes and pour it
out. We add 1 tablespoon of potato flour.
Now we knead the boiled and grated
potatoes together.
5. Lithuanian zeppelins
Stuffing
Chop the onion and fry it in a pan. Then
add it to the minced meat. Season with salt
and pepper to taste. Form small balls the
size of a walnut.
Form Zeppelins Shape hand-sized balls
from the potato mass and then flatten
them. Make a recess in the middle where
we put the stuffing ball. Glue the dough
together and form the oblong shape of
your zeppelin with your hands.
6. Lithuanian zeppelins
Boil the zeppelins in a
large pot (about 20-25
minutes). Zeppelins can
be poured with cream.
Ready!
They are delicious!
I recommend!
