On April 21st, Dr. Saxe held a panel discussion that lasted an hour and 30 minutes. All type of
people that work at the local and state level went there, from people running for different districts to
the state representative, Chris Turner. During this panel of discussion, 8 persons had the time to
introduce themselves, what they're running for, and what they would do if they get elected. This was
a great day for this class because we had the opportunity to interact with people who holds positions
in the state of Texas, giving us another view of how things work in Texas.
The candidates presented during this panel discussion were Representative Chris turner, who serves
in the higher education committee for district 101. Sheri Capehart, who serves in district 2, all of her
sons graduated from Arlington ISD. Kelly Cannon, running for city council, district 1, she is the one
involved with taking away the red lights in Arlington. A person running for district seven in favor of
online voting, which I believe is ridiculous. Charlie Parker, he's the district 1 incumbent and an ex–
pilot from the navy. Dr. Victoria Myers, she taught political science in UTA but now she is running
for district seven, which is responsible by how Arlington looks. John Hibbs, a member of the school
district at Arlington, he has served there for 6 years. And last but not least Jamie Sullins, the

military, commanding a force to defend Texas's western frontier. In 1839, Seguin, captain of a Texas
force of about fifty–four men, again protected the colonists in the Henry Karnes campaign against
the Comanche Indians.
Texas Senator and mayor Seguin was elected as a Texas Senator from 1837 to 1840 and worked
closely with Congressman José Antonio Navarro to introduce and support the best interests of the
citizens of Texas. In 1839, Juan Seguin at a town thirty miles east of San Antonio, he was honored
by parade and celebration. That newly named town would now bear his own name, Seguin and then
Seguin became mayor of San Antonio in 1841.

Introduction Keeping a working economy has always been one of Texas' main concerns. In order to
convince companies to move to Texas, regulations and economic conditions were created in their
favor. While it has helped in keeping a booming economy, it has left us with a polluted environment
which in turn led the federal government to step in and try to create the regulations Texas refused to
make. The Environmental Protection Agency tried increasing the water they regulate with the new
Clean Water Act, but may have overstepped their boundaries. Texas should continue having a
booming economy, but an increase in environmental regulations is a must in order to avoid federal

I decided to do my paper on the Dallas Cowboys because not only are they Americas team but they
are my team. The Dallas Cowboys have 5 Super Bowl rings and haven't one in 20 years but still are

Personal Narrative: My First Mission Arlington, Texas
"When you serve others, you give a piece of your soul away. In return, God comes to fill that empty
piece with a piece of Himself."
This past summer, I had the privilege to go on my very first mission trip to Arlington, Texas with
my youth group. One Wednesday night, my youth pastor told us that we were going on a mission
trip to Arlington, Texas to serve alongside the Mission Arlington workers. I have always felt the
calling to go out of the country to serve others, so this was the perfect opportunity to get a taste of
the mission life. I started to prepare in advance by praying for my youth group to be spiritually
ready, praying for the children I was going to meet, and praying that the will of God would be done.
So on July 16, 2016, we took the long haul to Mission Arlington Metroplex. The next morning we
headed to meet with Ms. Tillie, the lady who created the entire Mission Arlington. She started the
meeting off that morning by praying and telling the backstory of the mission. Ms. Tillie and her
family served the Lord as missionaries in South Korea. When they came home in 1978, after a

Arlington's Journey
I believe that giving is greater than receiving. Being able to live in Johnson County is a blessing. We
have polite neighbors, clean streets, and fresh water. This past spring break I was fortunate enough
to travel to Arlington, Texas, with my youth group from my church. As a group, this would be our
second time traveling to Arlington for a mission purpose. As an individual, Arlington changed me.
When my youth group is traveling a long distance, we rent a couple of twelve passenger vans.
Driving to Arlington takes about ten hours, including bathroom stops and lunch breaks. Every time
my youth leader tells the group to go to the bathroom, no one listens. That is because we are

Her name is Tiffany and is merely six years old. Tiffany is a lovely and sweet girl. She told me all
she knew about Jesus. Surprisingly, Tiffany knew a majority of the bible stories I was telling her.
Apparently this was not the first time a church had ministered to her apartment complex. We
provided Rainbow Express for kids of all ages. We had a few babies and a couple teenagers showing
up during the week. Despite the age gap, we did our best to involve everyone. Even though these
kids are experiencing rough times, they still emit more loving energy than expected. These kids love
you as if you are their long lost sibling. They were not afraid to sprint up to us with their arms wide
open. Mission Arlington shows me how to love people you have only known for a week. This

the women is at risk of dying, or if the unborn child has severe irreversible brain damage

primarily focused on serving in the Army but had a few distractions through the years. During the
summer between my junior and senior year of high school, I decided it was time to talk to an Army

The AMBER alert system is very well run and has saved a lot of children from possibly life altering

Jane Bitzi was born and raised in Dallas. She is the only daughter of Laura and Kennedy Johnson.
She is the granddaughter of the former governor Joe Johnson well known to many as Big Daddy.
Jane worked with her parents since she was 12 in various community development programs. She
accompanied her parents to various social events to raise money to build houses for the poor across

individual, but it also contributes largely to the overall economy. It will also focus on measures that

Non–cooperative, Semi–cooperative, and Cooperative Games–based Grid Resource Allocation
Straightforward access to large–scale distributed computational assets is provided by computational
Grids. With the help of their size and geographic dissemination they help to create large computing
centers. Several simulation studies are performed for evaluating the mechanisms to allocate
resources in a Grid. There are three mechanisms to allocate resources in a Grid. The first method is
the non–cooperative sealed–bid method where the tasks are auctioned off to the highest bidder.
Second, the semi–cooperative n–round bid method in which each site delegates the task its work to
others if it cannot perform the work itself. Last, the cooperative method in which all the sites
cooperatively perform all the tasks as efficiently as possible. The simulation model has various
leveled Grid structure in which machines are built around larger computing centers called
"federations" [1].

The Legacy Of The Johnson Miller Essay
Jane "Bitzi" Johnson Miller was born and raised in west Texas on a ranch. She was married to
Michael Smith, former Texas supremum court justice, until they divorced in 2010, have two grown
children. She went to the all–girls, private National Cathedral School in Austin, where she played on
the woman soccer team and graduated in 1981. She attended the University of Texas at Arlington,
majoring business administration with minor in political science, and was a member of Phi Beta
Kappa honor society. She also studied for four months in Spain during 1983. She graduated from
University of Texas at Arlington in 1985. She received her PhD from Harvard Business School in
1989, where she was executive editor of Harvard Journal of International Business and an editor of

conservative Republican, and a daughter of former five–time Texas senator Mark Johnson (1990–
2010). After she graduated from Harvard Business School, she taught at University of Texas at
Arlington for two years as an assistant professor. She started her own software company in Dallas in
1993– she sold it to Dell in 2014 for $2.5 million. Bitzi currently chairs the non–profit philanthropic
organization Good380. She is very authentic, persuasive, and persistence. She is a true leader who

Sayedul provided an update on the Four Mile Run SWMM5 Model. A model summary and a map of
model components (see attached) were handed out.
The Four Mile Run SWMM5 Model results were found to match observed flows at the Shirlington
gage, especially for large storms (5,000 cfs or larger). However, for the tributaries, small streams
and upper Four Mile Run segments, the model performance cannot be validated until local wet
weather flow data are collected.

CH2M added storages to a number of subwatersheds in the tributary models to account for water
that cannot enter the pipes, especially if the pipes are too small to carry the peak watershed runoff.
Streams Tech will evaluate the need for such storages in other subwatersheds to ensure that no water
is lost from the system.
Arlington County and Streams Tech personnel will walk along the key or questionable areas of the
stormwater network to identify potential problems and verify the connectivity and representation of
network (nodes, links, storages and subwatersheds) in the model.
Arlington County will provide data for an initial update of the model and then provide data annually
to update the model.
Streams Tech will coordinate NVRC to set up meeting to provide a project update to the Technical
Advisory Committee (TAC).
Arlington County wants to use the model results for various projects and programs including the
MS4 Program.

November 22, 1963, is a day that lives in infamy. Most Americans remember that day, even those
who were not born, for one reason. The assassination of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy
transpired in Dallas, Texas. His assassination became a topic of controversy as the idea of a lone
sniper committing the act was hard to accept. The assassin would go on to die a few days later.
Media outlets around the nation were in shock. The local Metroplex stations panicked like everyone
else. As a native Texan, correction native Dallasite, I view the Kennedy assassination differently
than most Americans. I want to stick close to my Dallas roots, and analyze what occurred on Elm
Street that day and how the local media covered the event.
The Dallas Metroplex is massive, totaling 10,693 square miles, 12 counties, and over 6 million
inhabitants. The Metroplex being so extensive, it was unlikely that every citizen and every city
reacted to the Kennedy assassination in the same fashion. For that reason, I decided to spread my
sights, and focus on three cities in different parts of the Metroplex. Analyzing the distinct patterns in
their newspaper publications from November 21st to November 25th provides a unique point of
view of how the Metroplex responded as a whole. Once, I have developed a keen understanding of

DCA was considered the "last word" in airports upon initial construction. It combined the latest and

On January 13, 1999, a girl named Hae Min Lee disappeared. She was a senior at Woodlawn High
School in Baltimore County in Maryland. Born in South Korea, Hae Min Lee migrated to the United
States along with her mother and brother to live with her grandparents. She played field hockey and
lacrosse. At age 18, Hae Min Lee was reported missing by her family after she was supposed to pick
up her little cousin from kindergarten around 3:15 PM and drop her home, but she never showed up.
Weeks later on February 1, an anonymous call was made to the Baltimore County Police suggesting
that Adnan Syed, Hae's ex–boyfriend was responsible for her death. The investigation showed that
although Lee had been dating Syed for the past year, they had recently broken up. Furthering ...
Pusateri told the police about Wilds using that same phone to contact her and admitting that he had
helped Syed bury Hae Min Lee's body. Although Wilds denied involvement regarding Hae's death at
first, he eventually confessed to helping Syed bury her body and dispose of the car in which the

in Leakin Park, a rambling forest in Baltimore. Her body was found by a maintenance guy who said

In 1996, a 9 year old girl, Amber Hagerman was riding her bike around the neighborhood when a
neighbor heard her scream. The neighbor witnessed the little girl being pulled off her bike, by a
man, and thrown into a pickup truck. The neighbor called the police, and Amber's brother went
home and notified their parents. After contacting a man who had a similar event happen to his
daughter, the family began contacting the media and the FBI. Neighbors, friends and family began

Amber Hagerman's case is unsolved, to date. In February 2011 the police was lead into a child
pornography and trafficking network resulting in the police questioning a man, Bill Fry. In 1996
Fry, who has been living in Arizona, had an apartment in Texas not far from the location Amber was
abducted. By August the police raided Fry's home. While the police found child pornography, Fry
was dismissed by the police from being a suspect in the Hagerman's case (The Tarrant County
Observer, 2011). Because there has been no arrest, no trial, and the case is still open and being
investigated, the case information is unattainable.
While the court may not have made a decision which began the legislative process changing a law,
the Amber Hagerman case is still a landmark case because it is responsible for The Amber Alert
system. Because the idea to quickly find Amber via the media and broadcast agencies was
successful, the idea of using the media to locate a child became more routine. It is designed to locate
and retrieve a child who has been kidnapped and or missing and in possible danger. The word
Amber became an acronym for America's Missing Broadcast Emergency Response.
After Texas began using the Amber Alert system more routinely, more states began adopting the

The Dust Bowl Of Tarrant County College
Tarrant County College has a traveling exhibit about the Dust Bowl that is sponsored by Ohio State
Library, American Library Association, Mount Holyoke, and the National Endowment for the
Humanities. This traveling exhibit is in a decent location, has a great display, and gives out a lot of
information about the Dust Bowl. This traveling exhibit about the Dust Bowl is located in the
Tarrant County College Southeast Campus library in Arlington, Texas. It is located off of Highway
360. The exhibit is located in the library in the main building on the first floor. When one walks into
the library they would walk past the front desk as if they were going to the back of the library. After
the front desk they would pass the computers and behind the computers is where the exhibit is. The
exhibit about the Dust Bowl is in a good location because it is in the library where most students go
daily. The location can also be considered a bad location because it is not easily seen from the door
and one has to be looking for it to find it. The exhibit should be advertised to let more people know
about it and tell them what it is near in the library. The traveling exhibit about the Dust Bowl has
twelve different displays. Ten of the displays are set up in a circular formation with numbers on the
bottom. On each of these displays there are pictures and information on the front and back of them.

Suture The entire premise of the film seems to revolve around Clay Arlington losing his identity and
gaining a new one from his counterpart half–brother. To create a sense of doubt about your own
identity. It wants you to question how much of our identity is formed by our environment. But the
question I want to ask is how much of our identities are ours alone? And does it even matter? Dr.
Shinoda makes a concluding statement about Clay's happiness at the end of the film "... it will be

The fourth aspect that helps create the retro atmosphere at Camden Yards is the color scheme in the
park. The seats are all green, and each one has the 1890 Orioles club seal on it. The wall in left field
is home to green ivy that was brought over from Memorial Stadium.
The green seats and the ivy growing on the left–center wall help the park to look both open and
natural, much like the first ballparks did at the beginning of baseball. Finally, the last characteristic
of Camden Yards that make it a retro style park is that it is located in downtown Baltimore. In the
young days of baseball most of the ballparks were in the city since that is where a majority of the
population lived. Lack of transportation also played a big role in building a ballpark downtown

first ballparks to be relatively close to the population. The reason the designers of Camden Yards
chose to build it downtown was in conjunction with an urban renewal project that was rebuilding,

The war with Mexico was the first American war fought on foreign soil. In order to fight against
Mexico we had to build a strong Army as well as a strong Navy. The war was fought between a
really unprepared military Mexico and James K. Polk (United States President). James believed the

ocean to the ocean on the other side of the United States was justified and inevitable). A border
