ABSTRACT
Online Student Bus Pass Generation system is a web application for students to get bus
passes through online.
This system was intended to develop an application for G.S.R.T.C to perform functionalities
like accessing the basic information of a student from educational institutions for
authentication and provide Bus pass to a particular student without placing him/her in a queue
for a long time.
This system is helpful to students to get Bus pass from anywhere in the state and no need to
worry about renewal of Bus pass.
Before this application implementation the manual process is used to do the process of
issuing the Bus pass to the students. This Manual process requires man power and more time
consuming. To avoid such difficulties we implemented this system.
The key components of Online Student Bus Pass Generation system is
Bus pass generation
Bus pass renewal
User of this system:

1.4 TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
ASP.NET
ASP.NET is a web application framework developed and marketed by Microsoft that
programmers can use to build dynamic web sites, web applications and web services. It was
first released in January 2002 with version 1.0 of the .NET Framework, and is the successor
to Microsoft’s Active Server Pages (ASP) technology.
ASP.NET is built on the Common Language Runtime (CLR), allowing programmers to
write ASP.NET code using any supported .NET language.
SQL SERVER
Microsoft SQL Server is a relational database management system produced by Microsoft. Its
primary query languages are MS-SQL and T-SQL.
SQL Server 2008, released in October 2008, is the successor to SQL Server 2000. It included
native support for managing XML data, in addition to relational data. For this purpose, it
defined an xml data type that could be used either as a data type in database columns or as
literals in queries.
.NET FRAMEWORK
The .NET Framework (pronounced dot net) is a software framework developed
by Microsoft that runs primarily on Microsoft Windows. It includes a large library and
provides language interoperability (each language can use code written in other languages)
across several programming languages. Programs written for the .NET Framework execute in
a software environment (as contrasted to hardware environment), known as the Common
Language Runtime (CLR), an application virtual machine that provides services such as
security, memory management, and exception handling. The class library and the CLR
together constitute the .NET Framework.

Conclusion:
At the completion of this project we come to know that this system is useful
for students and passengers who want to generate the pass from online. But there is a one bug
about to paying fees online because generally the village students and passengers do not have
online banking facility so this problem is occurs for state bus pass. But this is useful for city
bus pass systems and metro train pass systems for big cities.

These projects was impossible to be a success without the support
and help from the experience guide at company, the books and
mainly the Internet really prove it for us the “Information Highway”.
