2. The producer of the magazine
has stuck with the consistency
of the house style throughout
the edition especially on this
page because the image of the
artist shown has three red
stripes on his ‘Adidas’ jumper
and also on the top left there
are three red stripes vertically
on the page, which fade out
when the writing starts.
The main text is white and is
obvious because white text on
a black background stands out
and becomes easily readable.
This double page spread consists of blacks, whites greys, red and white therefore
making it fairly hard to talk a lot about due to the boring dull colours which have been
used throughout. The ‘Adidas’ logo is red and contains three red parallel stripes which
are also symbolised on both his shoulders travelling horizontally across.
3. Next to the two columns of
text there is a quote which is On the left hand side
coloured in red which the of this double page
artist Example has quoted: spread there are two

lunatic…’
The structural layout of this magazine spread is to a professional standard because it
has one page which contains the image of the artist/band to catch the eye of the reader
when flicking through the magazine.
4. The image used is Example, a pop artist
who tends to rap in some of his songs also.
It fits in with the audience and purpose of a
pop magazine because the artist/celebrity
image writes pop music himself and the way
he is dressed shows the rapper
representations.
By looking at this picture, his reputation is
shown in many different ways. For example,
the clothing he’s wearing gives off an
impression that his music he sings/writes
links in with people who stereotypically dress
in hoodies and tracksuits although his music
also caters for everyone else in the pop side
of music for instance.
His stance, the way he is standing and
looking at the camera with his head tilted
slightly to his left gives off the impression that
he is a ‘cheeky chappy’ and a laid back sort
of artist, who knows that he is a good
singer/rapper and is interested and
passionate about his music.
5. This is an example of

small piece of text at the top There is a different colour
left of the image which is used for different types of text
telling you who the artist is. for example here; they have

So it could be saying that keep the house style
‘this is an image of a award consistent throughout the
winning solo artist’ double page spread and to
also make the quote be a lot
more eye catching to the
audience.

audience an insight into part
of the artists lifestyle and what
he does ‘behind closed doors’.
