Exodus 30:34-36 “The Lord said to Moses: Take sweet spices, stacte,
[another name for myrrh] and onycha, and galbanum, sweet spices
with pure frankincense and make an incense blended as by the
perfumer, seasoned with salt, pure and holy; and you shall beat some
of it into powder, and put part of it before the covenant in the tent of
meeting where I shall meet with you; it shall be for you most holy.
When you make incense according to this composition, you shall not
make it for yourselves; it shall be regarded by you as holy to the Lord.”

The Bible mentions over 33 species of fragrant plants with over 1,035
references to essential oils and/or plants in the Old and New Testaments.

In the Book of Genesis, Adam and Eve are located in a magnificent
garden filled with the scents of healing flowers, trees and other
plants. God, our higher power, created everything we need to
heal on an emotional, physical, mental and spiritual level,
including wonderful aromatic plants and essential oils!
Then & Now
It wasn’t until the 20th century that physical
& spiritual healing got completely
separated. Allopathic medicine does not
truly heal. However, it does get us out of
crisis; & therefore while it is a necessary
part of modern day society, it is not a cure
all. And it certainly does not address the
emotional & spiritual issues of dis-ease.

The healing oils of the bible are essential or aromatic.
These oils are the vital fluids of plants that are their life
blood. The concentrated essential oils contain all of the
plants beneficial nutrients, oxygenating molecules, amino
acid precursors, co-enzymes, trace minerals, vitamins &
more.They are called “essential” because they are
necessary for the life of the plant and contain the
“essence” of the plant.

Essential oils are composed of tiny molecules that can
penetrate into every cell, administering healing therapy at
the most fundamental levels.

 Essential oils are extremely
concentrated, 1 drop contains
~40 million trillion molecules.
 We have 100 trillion molecules
in our body
 1 drop of oil is enough to cover
every cell in our body with
40,000 molecules

 Phenylpropanoids:
- Create conditions where unfriendly
viruses and bacteria cannot live.
- Most important function is that they
clean the receptor sites on cells.
Without a clean receptor site, cells
cannot communicate well.
 Clove (90%), Cassia (85%), Basil
(75%), Cinnamon (73%), Anise
(50%), Peppermint (25%).

 Monoterpenes:
- They offer a variety of healing properties, but
most importantly can go into a cell and help
reprogram mis-written information in the cellular
memory, which can often times lead to diseases
such as cancer.
 Galbanum (80%), Angelica (73%), Hyssop
(70%), Rose of Sharron (54%), Peppermint
(45%), Juniper (42%), Frankincense (40%),
Spruce (38%), Pine (30%), Cypress (28%),
Myrtle (25%).

 Sesquiterpenes:
- They deliver oxygen molecules to cells, like
hemoglobin does to red blood cells.
- They too can help erase or decode mis-written
coding in the DNA.
-They are especially thought to be effective in
fighting cancer. Because of oxygen & the
miscoding.
 Cedarwood (98%), Vetiver (97%), Spikenard
(93%), Sandalwood (90%), Black Pepper (74%),
Patchouli (71%), Myrrh (62%), Ginger (%59).

 Healing Frequencies:
- The frequencies of oils are between 52-
320MHz. Rose is the highest.
 Healthy people have frequencies @ 62-
68MHz.
- Below 58, cold symptoms start
- 57, flu symptoms start
- 55 Candida starts
- 52 Epstein Barr (Mono)
- 42 Cancer
- 25 process of death

 One of the most important properties is the
ability for oils to lift our body frequencies to
levels where disease cannot exist.

vulgare) extracts and essential oil.

BACKGROUND:
There is a growing interest in industry to replace synthetic chemicals by natural products with
bioactive properties. Aromatic plants are excellent sources of bioactive compounds that
can be extracted using several processes. As far as oregano is concerned, studies are
lacking addressing the effect of extraction processes in bioactivity of extracts. This study
aimed to characterise the in vitro antioxidant and antibacterial properties of oregano
(Origanum vulgare) essential oil and extracts (in hot and cold water, and ethanol), and the
chemical composition of its essential oil.
RESULTS:
The major components of oregano essential oil were carvacrol, β-fenchyl alcohol, thymol, and
γ-terpinene. Hot water extract had the strongest antioxidant properties and the highest
phenolic content. All extracts were ineffective in inhibiting the growth of the seven tested
bacteria. In contrast, the essential oil inhibited the growth of all bacteria, causing greater
reductions on both Listeria strains (L. monocytogenes and L. innocua).
CONCLUSION:
O. vulgare extracts and essential oil from Portuguese origin are strong candidates to replace

The disciples of Jesus were sent out in
pairs. Jesus gave them authority over
unclean spirits. They were to preach
repentance, cast out demons and anoint
the sick with oil. The result was that
many were healed. (Mark 6:7)
“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church,
and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the
Lord; and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick,
and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will
be forgiven him. Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and
pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The effective
prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” (James 5:13)
Scripture & The Oils

ALOES/SANDALWOOD* (Santalum album) steam distilled from wood. It
takes between forty to sixty years to mature and be available for harvest.
Referred to as “aloes” in the Bible. (Not to be confused with Aloe Vera, an
American plant.) Historical uses of Aloes/Sandalwood:
Enhance deep sleep.
Rub a drop above eyebrows in a wide circle around the eye 1-3
times daily to help with vision.
Used as cologne.
Combined with bath salts for a relaxing bath.
Used for dry chapped skin and wrinkled skin.
Used for acute or chronic diarrhea, rub on stomach area.
Place a drop on cold sores to help heal.
Massage in hair and on scalp to retard graying.
Put a drop on an incision to speed wound healing.
Aloes/Sandalwood
Psalm 45:8; Proverbs 7:17; Song of Solomon 4:14; John 19:39

Put a scant drop on your tongue and enjoy the delicious taste!
A drop or two on your fingers and rub through the hair. Perfumed hair was
often used because they did not wash their hair frequently.
A drop placed in the hands rub hands together and cup over nose for a joyful,
uplifting feeling.
Used as mouthwash. A drop placed in water, swish in mouth, and gargle for a
delicious and effective mouthwash.
Put a drop in a glass of water and shake it up (to disperse the oil) for a
protecting & refreshing drink. You may just find it curbs your desire for sugar!
Also taking it internally may help with fungal problems!
Used in cooking. For example, add a drop or two to yams.
Add a drop to hot chocolate or hot water and enjoy!
Mixed with olive oil to help with boils, ringworm, and fungal infections.
CASSIA
CASSIA* (Cinnamomum cassia) steam distilled from bark. Cassia was an
ingredient in the Holy Anointing Oil given to Moses. This exotic fragrance of
vanilla/cinnamon might be similar in its aroma to cinnamon, but it is
physically and chemically much different. Care must be taken in topical use
as it may cause skin sensation.

Historical Uses:
Diffuse or inhale from bottle to enhance prayer and meditation.
A drop of oil in your palms and then cup them over your nose and mouth.
Inhale, breathing deeply to help with mental clarity.
Used as an effective insect repellant.
A drop to a cotton balls and place in drawers to repel insects.
Egyptians used 1-3 drops rubbed into the scalp may help to inhibit hair loss.
A drop or two rubbed on wounded skin may help to clean, disinfect and
protect from infection.
Rub a drop or two on the chest area to help relieve symptoms of (difficult
breathing) bronchitis.
Applied to help with sleep.
Has been used to help Calm children who suffer from ADHD/Autism.
Cedarwood
CEDARWOOD* (Cedrus atlantica) steamed distilled from bark. Produced
mainly in Morocco, it is the species most closely related to the cedars of
Lebanon. Of all essential oils, cedarwood is highest in sesquiterpenes, which
are oxygen-delivering molecules capable of crossing the blood-brain barrier.

Historical Uses:
Used to help with healing cuts and healing of scars.
Used for relieving the pain of arthritis.
Apply Cypress neat or diluted on location to ease cramping.
Apply a drop of Cypress to a minor injury to facilitate healing and
prevent infection.
Used around the nasal area to help control a nosebleed.
Increases white corpuscle production and enhances immune function.
Applied as an insect repellant.
Used to help relieve acute chest discomfort.
Cypress
CYPRESS* (Cupressus sempervirens) steam distilled from seeds. The oil of
Cypress has been used since ancient times for purification and as incense.
The oil of Cypress has been used since ancient times to help with
circulation and purification, and as incense. It has been said that the Cross
on which Jesus was crucified may have been made from the Cypress tree.
Cypress comes from a Greek word "sempervivens" meaning "live forever".

Historical Uses:
Used on wounds to stop infections.
It was placed on an insect bite to help reduce swelling and speed healing.
It was used improve concentration.
Spiritual oil that enhanced and promoted emotional and spiritual feeling.
Diffused to elevate mood.
Often applied on onto each foot at night to help with sore feet.
Rubbed on shoulders stomach and bottoms of feet to help with low mood induced
insomnia.
Egyptians used it to the abdomen to help remove stretch marks.
A key ingredient in the holy anointing oils and the oil that stopped Biblical Plagues..
Frankincense
FRANKINCENSE* (Boswellia carteri) steam distilled from resin. It’s a generational
tree that takes forty years to produce its first resin. One of the gifts of the wise men
to our Savior, frankincense would have been rubbed all over the body of the baby.
Egyptian tradition says that “Frankincense is good for everything from gout to a
broken head” or in other words “good from head to toe”. If in doubt, use
Frankincense. Other names for frankincense are “olibanum” or “Oil from Lebanon”.

Historical uses:
Galbanum on the bottom of each foot to help bring
emotional balance.
Uses as incense and for embalming.
Combined with frankincense as holy incense.
Used for treating wounds and, inflammation.
Used in the tabernacle during sacrifices.
Applied as oil to help with skin disorders.
Galbanum
GALBANUM* (Ferula gummosa) steam distilled from resin derived from stems
and branches. Galbanum was valued for its medicinal and spiritual qualities. It's
considered to be a sacred oil.

Historical Uses:
Moses used to prevent the Plague.
Applied to help with arthritis pain.
Used to help with congestion and coughs.
When rubbed on stomach as method of reducing cramp and expelling
gas.
Applied on shoulders to reduce tension.
Incense used to loosen up a tight chest, inhale; it’s highly expectorant.
20th century physicians who used herbs in the United States used
hyssop oil to soothe burned skin.
Used in bathwater for nervous exhaustion, melancholy or grief.
Applied on wounds or on injured area to help prevent scarring.
Hyssop
HYSSOP* (Hyssopus officinalis) steam distilled from stems/leaves. It has a very
long history as a cleansing herb.Hyssop is noted for its spiritually and physically
purifying properties, and is known in history to have been used to "forgive sins."
Hyssop contains almost 50% ketones, which are known to be calming emotionally.
Ketones are also helpful as decongestants or expectorants.

Historical uses:
Used in religious rituals
Helps with canker sores, oral infections-tooth/gum.
Used in embalming.
Applied to as an oil to soften skin.
Incensed was burned during childbirth.
Applied on umbilical cords to prevent infection.
Applied on wounds to promote healing and prevent infection.
Myrrh
MYRRH* (Commiphora myrrha) steam distilled from gum/resin and grown in
Somalia. Has one of the highest levels of sesquiterpenes, a class of compounds
that has direct effects on the hypothalamus, pituitary and amygdala, the “seat of
our emotions”.The Arabians believed it helped wrinkled, chapped, and cracked
skin. Today, myrrh is widely used in oral hygiene products. Esther, of the bible,
used Myrrh for six months, maybe up to a year, to prepare for her meeting with
the king.

Used as a food flavoring.
Incense used to help with congestion. It's an expectorant
Honey and one drop of oil for a cough.
Used to stop diarrhea.
Inhaled to open sinus.
Helps to balance the thyroid.
Supports the ovaries.
Used with olive oil for hemorrhoid relief.
Helps with spasms.
Myrtle
MYRTLE* (Myrtus communis) Obtained from shrubs and trees and steam
distilled. The Hebrew name for Queen Esther was Hadassah which means
myrtle. Research on Myrtle has shown to normalize hormonal imbalances of the
thyroid and ovaries, as well as balance the hypothyroid. It's also known to soothe
the respiratory system.

Historical Uses;
Onycha was valued anciently for its ability to speed healing of
wounds and to help prevent infection.
Applied to open wounds to speed healing and help prevent
infection.
Applied to a wound to help slow bleeding.
Rubbed on the stomach to help ease gripping pains.
Applied to chapped or cracked skin to help speed healing.
Also helpful for colds, coughs & sore throats.
Onycha
ONYCHA* (Styrax benzoin) extracted from the resin. Other names for onycha
are “benzoin”, “friar’s balm” and “Java frankincense”. Tincture of benzoin was an
antiseptic used in hospitals for more than a hundred years (since the mid
1800s). You must hold the bottle in your hands and rub it back and forth so the
oil will flow. Because Onycha (Benzoin) is a warm oil, it is known to help the
cardiovascular system, emotions and the skin.

Used as an insecticide.
Used for helping to reduce fever.
Diffused for colds.
Applied for headaches.
Applied as a wound antiseptic and for deodorizing.
It is supposed to be calming to the nerves.
Rose of Sharon/Cistus
ROSE OF SHARON/CISTUS* (Cistus ladanifer) is also known as rock rose.
Steam distilled from leaves. It was used to elevate moods and as a perfume.
According to some studies it has strong anti-inflammatory properties.

Historical uses:
Know as a skin tonic for rough or wrinkled skin.
Used with olive oil for help with hemorrhoids.
Aromatic sent was known for it’s soothing effects.
Rubbed on the stomach to help with digestive problems.
Apply as a perfume or use for a deodorant.
Applied to feet and crown of head to help ground and balance the
mind and stimulate a feeling of courage and power.
Used on wounds and cuts to help disinfect and speed healing.
Has even been known to help with allergies.
Spikenard
SPIKENARD* (Nardostachys jatamansi) steam distilled from roots. Spikenard
has also been known as “nard” and “false Indian Valerian root” oil. It was prized
in early Egypt and in the Middle East during the time of our Savior. It is said to
have been used as a prized oil at the time of Christ. Mary of Bethany anointed
the feet of Jesus before the Last Supper with spikenard.

This oil is scriptural origin and is commercially available today. It contains the
following oils: Sandalwood (Aloes) (Santalum album), Myrrh (Commiphora myrrha),
Juniper (Juniperus osteosperma), Frankincense (Boswella carteri), Spruce (Picea
mariana) , and Almond oil as a base. This oil has a history of use for the purpose of
opening the subconscious mind through pineal stimulation to help release deep-
seated trauma. The aromatic particles bring a sense of grounding and uplifting
through emotional releasing and elevated spiritual awareness.
