5 REASONS WHY FILTERED WATER
IS A HEALTHY CHOICE
Water is a prime component of our diets. Naturally,
its quality influences our health. Poor water quality
leads to a poor well-being. And no matter what
other changes in diet we make, unless the water we
drink is not pure, nothing may seem to favor our
health. Clearly, drinking pure water is important. So,
how do we ensure that the water we drink is pure?
Use a water filter. Don’t believe me?
The city water treatment plants disinfect water
with the use of chlorine. And, thanks to this
element, you get that bitter taste when you
drink tap water. Not only does the element
affect taste, but its reaction with other organic
compounds in water produces carcinogenic
compounds. Thus, removing the element and
such compounds from the water we drink goes
a long way in ensuring good long-term health.
Removal of Chlorine
Removal of Pathogens
Pathogens such as bacteria and cysts in water
cause gastrointestinal diseases. Removing them is,
thus, crucial to ensuring that your water is
absolutely pure and healthy to drink.
Removal of Dirt
While water is sufficiently cleaned in water
treatment plants, it travels a great length
before it comes gushing out of our home
taps. While it travels through large lengths
of pipes, it accumulates dirt particles which
must be removed to render it fit for
drinking. Take a look at what the Franke
Filterflow Cartridge filters in a typical
home.
Removal of Lead
Lead sneaks into our drinking water from old
water pipes. And this is not good news. The
element is inherently toxic as its long-term
exposure negatively affects brain activity and
behavior. It has been specially found to cause
strong neurological damage in children. It is
worthy to note that the harmful element is
removed by a quality filtering unit like the
Franke Water Filter Cartridge whose tiny
pores of activated carbon absorb a range of
impurities.
Retains Minerals
Water has several important minerals such
as magnesium, calcium, and sodium. These
minerals have a range of key health
benefits like keeping the electrolyte
balance of the body at an optimum level,
lowering bad cholesterol, and etc. So, while
removing harmful constituents such as
lead, chlorine, dirt, and pathogens from
water ensures it is not unhealthy to drink,
retaining the natural minerals of water truly
ensures it is healthy to drink.
