Indian Markets Slip on Inflation, Rate Hike Concerns

Market sentiment continues to be shaky amid outflows from BSE Smallcap 9,019 9,099 (0.88) FIIs, concerns on rising inflation, possibility of another rate hike and lack of progress in key reforms. The Nifty Junior 11,322 11,331 (0.08) start was pretty good, with the BSE Sensex and the NSE Nifty hitting the day's highs early on. A sharp cut in late afternoon saw the two indices sink to day's lows before a late recovery pulled them up again.All eyes will be on the IIP number today and Infosys' results on tommorrow.
