It is quite common for our members, the media and others to refer to
Durham People’s Alliance as though we were one single organization.

Many folks may not be aware that PA is in fact three distinct, but related,
organizations. There is the Political Action Committee (PA-PAC), which
makes endorsements at election time. There is the PA Fund, which is a
small 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization that has functioned historically to
provide small grants to educate the Durham community about issues that
arise over time. Finally, there is what is known as the Chapter, which is
where much of the issue and committee work of PA happens. This is a
