 Throughout my years of teaching General Paper
(GP), I have come to appreciate the deep
importance of this subject in formulating one’s
thinking and values. In fact, if approached
correctly, I believe that GP can be a powerful
platform for many purposes: to learn how to think
critically, to evaluate arguments, to appreciate
differing perspectives, to know more about the
world around us, and to engage both our minds
and hearts.

QUALIFICATIONS
 Oxford, LSE, Raffles. These are schools that I
could only dream about studying in when I was
young. But God is so gracious to have gifted me
with a love for knowledge and a passion for
reading that allowed me to excel in my studies
which opened doors to incredible learning
experiences.

5. MY TEACHING EXPERIENCE
 My passion for teaching grew when I was in JC,
and when the Public Service Commission (PSC)
offered me an Overseas Scholarship to study in
the UK and return to teach with the Ministry of
Education (MOE), I jumped at the opportunity!
Since then, I've taught in numerous institutions.

6. MY SOCIAL CONTRIBUTIONS
 Besides teaching GP, I strongly believe in giving
back to society with my time and my talents.
Through various platforms such as helping out
with MENDAKI and Singapore Cancer Society's
various assistance programmes, I serve in
different capacities where I can to lend a helping
hand to those who need it.

7. MY LIFE PHILOSOPHY
 In my teaching of General Paper, I not only teach
my students how to score well for their GP
exams, I also share my life principles,
perspectives and values to help them navigate
our complex world today. This, I believe, is the
power of a subject like GP: to sharpen minds,
touch hearts and inspire lives!
