2. The Years of "Dolce Vita"
During the years 50-60, Rome lived a period of splendour and became the
Mecca of cinema. In the Cinecittà studios were filmed many movies and
not only European, but also big American productions. The city was sheer
joy, glamour and artistic effervescence.
"The years of la Dolce Vita", it reflects all the impetus of this unique
phenomenon, full of authenticity, of improvisation of magic, passion and
freedom.
Federico Fellini reflected this phenomenon in his film "La Dolce Vita" in
1960.
