2. Biography Martin Luther King Jr. was born January 15, 1929. He was very intelligent and was a natural leader. He married Coretta Scott in Boston after graduating from college. Later on, they had two sons and two daughters.
3. The start of leadership Martin Luther King Jr. did not believe in violence. In 1955 he led a nonviolent boycott against segregated buses. This was 382 days of African- Americans not taking the bus because when they do, they are forced to sit in the back. Finally, on December 21, 1956 the Supreme Court declared it unconstitutional to have segregated buses. In 1957, he was elected the President of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.
4. I have a Dream Martin Luther King Jr.’s American dream was that one day all people, no matter what race, would be treated equally. In his speech, “I have a Dream”, he mentions that he wanted his children to live in a world with no racism. He believed in peace and was the youngest person to ever receive a Nobel Peace Prize.
5. Conclusion Martin Luther King Junior is famous for his nonviolent approach to end racism. In his American dream, everyone is treated the same and his children get to grow up in a nonviolent world and are friends with white children.
