This document discusses how ideas can be generated through unconventional thinking and embracing aspects of "stupidity". It suggests that ideas should not be confined to small spaces and can emerge from rearranging perspectives in unexpected ways. Stupid questions are said to relax the mind and allow creative ideas to flow. Examples are given of innovations that were initially seen as stupid but later proved impactful. The document promotes thinking like children to access creativity and considering perspectives that may seem foolish but could generate new insights. Comments from Cindy Breden further develop these themes, stating creativity flows through embracing one's inner child and creating safe spaces for unconventional ideas.

a small space. Stupidity
confines the space, but
this may lead to
emerging behaviors

Yes Ali I agree that going beyond the familiar and being
in touch with the inner child can be a terrific way to
achieve that. I just did that this morning ... the quiet,
reserved, serious me accepted an invitation to be a
clown and perform for others (way out of my comfort
zone) ... the result is that I can feel the energy bubbling
and it was FUN :-) I literally felt like a child again. Too
often we can take this life far to seriously including our
creativity and that seriousness (need to produce ... and
not only produce, but produce perfectly) can interfere
with the natural flow of creative energy :-)

Cindy, your experience this morning and literally feeling like
a child prompts me to go the extra mile. I say even I act and
do few things that would make me a fool. I even dared to
write a short presentation on : Stupidity Spawns Creativity

Yes, sometimes we need to go the full swing from
seriousness to hilariousness

Thank YOU Ali for sharing. We are all in this together ... life ... creativity
... all of it ... and who knows where creativity, life in general, is going to
lead us? What I love about this conversation about the inner child is
that we ARE the child and the Adult ... the creativity flows from/through
the child and by creating a safe space for us to allow the inner child to
be free we create a space for creativity beyond the confines of our
"adult" conditioning. What appears crazy or stupid or foolish to one
person may be just what another person needs in their lives. As creative
spirits we can simply be the vessel that allows the creativity to flow
through ... free to be in the world around. Thank you Ali for having the
courage to allow your expression to speak to all of us here. Many of the
inventions we take for granted in our lives today were brought forth by
people thought to be crazy :-)
