GROWING YOUR

NETWORK
Refer.
Inspire.
Grow.

           1
• 2 kinds of networks:
• Network of customers – buying from you
• Network of recruits (downlines) – people you
   convinced to become a dealer
                                             2
• How do you grow your
  network of customers? 3
You as a DEALER:
           • Being a dealer means you
             have to personally get the
             orders and serve dealers
             with their products.
             – It is most convenient to
               become a dealer to
               people you meet often, or
               who live near you.
                                      4
Spotting Your Prospective Clients:
        • Recall and list down the people you
          meet often.
          – Neighbours or community activity
            groups
          – Colleagues
          – Family
          – Friends
        • They are convenient, time-efficient
          and cost-effective because you meet
them anyway, and you don’t need to
          spend extra on them
                                               5
Being a DEALER means:
          • Building relationships
            – It’s easier to sell to people
              you personally know or
              have contact with
            – You gain the loyalty of
              customers if you continue
              to nurture relationships
              with them

                                              6
But being a DEALER also means:
            • Finding the time to be able
             to personally take and serve
             orders of your customers
            • Spending money for
              transportation especially
              for customers who live
              from a distant area

                                        7
Advantages of a DEALER:
           • Big Gains:
             – Dealers get outright discount
               for orders, ranging from 25%
               up to 30%
           • Commissions and Rewards
             – Dealers get to enjoy
               commissions through their
               recruits
             – Dealers get to enjoy rewards
               from promos and contests

                                               8
So why recruit?

  Why not? 9
If you do not recruit,
  and you just wish to
serve all the orders of
 your customers, you
 might be juggling too
    many, and you are
     bound to exhaust
              yourself.
                     10
VS.

You work FOR You work WITH
 customers. recruits.
Customers = high gains; high maintenance
Recruits = extra gains; low maintenance
                                        11
How to earn a RECRUIT:
1. Introduce as a
   BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY to your
   prospect.
2. Convince your prospect to sign up
   as a DEALER.
3. Your prospect should REGISTER and
   put you as his/her UPLINE.
                                   12
Spotting The Best Recruit
• Has his/her own circle of contacts. (different group of
  friends, family…)
• Lives far from you – so that you don’t divide your
market, but instead capture a different group of
  users
• Credible, self-motivated, sociable, sales oriented, and
  customer-service oriented.
• Believes in the Human Nature Advocacy

                                                       13
THEY SAY IT’S HARD TO
 RECRUIT BECAUSE . . .

Chemical Products are Cheaper

Key to Conversion: Education

Chemical Products = “Save now, get sick later.”

                                            15
Key to Conversion: Education
Cheap chemical products may
cause health problems in the
future that are more expensive
to treat or cure. (Allergies,
Respiratory Problems, Cysts and
Cancers)

If people knew the risks involved, they would have
not bought chemical products in the first place.

• But time may come that
  natural products may be
  cheaper than chemical ones
  when there are enough
  suppliers of natural
  ingredients – and Human
Nature is leading the way to
  making natural products more
  affordable

                            19
Part of education is
letting your prospective
recruit know that a

is a life-changing
business for many.

The Sample Pack

Some people are hesitant to sign up as a dealer because of the
price of the sample pack.
“All businesses have investment involved, and
the investment requires is very
minimal.”

                                                                 22
The PURPOSE of the SAMPLE PACK
The sample pack is the dealer’s basic tool to sell
the products
  – Testers for dealer to experience products
  – Testers for customers to try products
The value of the products in the sample pack is
even higher than its cost!

Comparison with Other
Direct Selling Brands
          Our earning scheme and
          commissions are kept at
          conservative levels because we
          want to make our prices
affordable to most people to give
          even the poor, healthier options.
We also give back a significant
portion of our profits to our
          partner communities and GK.
                                         24
WIN by PERSUASION
There is a great demand and huge following for
our products. The market for natural care
products also happens to be the fastest-
growing, and we are the biggest natural self care
products manufacturer.

                  It is all about VOLUME.

                                                25
No credit term
• It is easier to manage a cash business
   – More than half of dealers in other DS businesses
became inactive had a hard time collecting from
      their customers
                     – People can buy on cash basis
anyway just like they do in
                       supermarkets, groceries, sari-sari
                       stores
                     • We pay our partner communities
who supply us with the raw
                       materials cash
                                                            26
Pyramiding vs. Direct-selling

                • Explain to your customers:

Red flags that tell you it’s a
                  pyramiding scam:

                      No Products

                      No Commissions

                      No Rewards from Recruitment

                                               27
Do the 8-point Test
1. Is there a product?
2. Are commissions paid on sale of products and not on
   registration/entry fees?
3. Is the intent to sell a product not a position?
4. Is there no direct correlation between the number of recruits
   and compensation?
5. If recruitment were to be stopped today, will the participants
   still make money?
6. Is there a reasonable product return policy?
7. Do products have fair market value?
8. Is there a compelling reason to buy?
If the answer to all the questions is YES, then the company being evaluated is a
legitimate company. But if the answer is NO, then there is a high probability that it
is a pyramid scam.

Explain to Prospects: is
a legitimate business.
                Main source of income is
                through sales of Products;
                there is reasonable demand
                for products
                Commissions come from
                recruits’ sales of products
                SEC, FDA/BFAD and BIR
                Registered and has business
                permit 29
KEEP IN MIND:

Developing a Network
      is NOT building a pyramid.
It is leading a TEAM. 30

                                              Recruit

  Recruits of your recruits
These represent the people already outside your circle. They are the recruits
of your recruits, or your “2nd Generation Recruits”
                                                                                                                  34
So is your network just this small?

                                      35
Why don’t you recruit?

                         36
RECRUITS = INVESTMENTS
   COMMISSIONS = PASSIVE INCOME
Earning a recruit is a one-time challenge to
convince someone.

You can continuously earn from their
sales through commissions, and
even earn from the sales of
their recruits.
After recruiting, that’s earning
with no sweat at all. 37
Enhancing Your Team’s
    Performance

  • You can increase the productivity
of your team by mentoring your
    recruits.
    – Keep open communication lines
    – Give them updates
    – Share sales techniques that worked
      for you

                                        38
Coming together is a beginning.
 Keeping together is progress.
Working together is success.
          -Henry Ford

GROW YOUR NETWORK WITH REFERRALS AND INSPIRATION

  • 2. • 2 kinds of networks: • Network of customers – buying from you • Network of recruits (downlines) – people you convinced to become a dealer 2
  • 3. • How do you grow your network of customers? 3
  • 4. You as a DEALER: • Being a dealer means you have to personally get the orders and serve dealers with their products. – It is most convenient to become a dealer to people you meet often, or who live near you. 4
  • 5. Spotting Your Prospective Clients: • Recall and list down the people you meet often. – Neighbours or community activity groups – Colleagues – Family – Friends • They are convenient, time-efficient and cost-effective because you meet them anyway, and you don’t need to spend extra on them 5
  • 6. Being a DEALER means: • Building relationships – It’s easier to sell to people you personally know or have contact with – You gain the loyalty of customers if you continue to nurture relationships with them 6
  • 7. But being a DEALER also means: • Finding the time to be able to personally take and serve orders of your customers • Spending money for transportation especially for customers who live from a distant area 7
  • 8. Advantages of a DEALER: • Big Gains: – Dealers get outright discount for orders, ranging from 25% up to 30% • Commissions and Rewards – Dealers get to enjoy commissions through their recruits – Dealers get to enjoy rewards from promos and contests 8
  • 9. So why recruit? Why not? 9
  • 10. If you do not recruit, and you just wish to serve all the orders of your customers, you might be juggling too many, and you are bound to exhaust yourself. 10
  • 11. VS. You work FOR You work WITH customers. recruits. Customers = high gains; high maintenance Recruits = extra gains; low maintenance 11
  • 12. How to earn a RECRUIT: 1. Introduce as a BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY to your prospect. 2. Convince your prospect to sign up as a DEALER. 3. Your prospect should REGISTER and put you as his/her UPLINE. 12
  • 13. Spotting The Best Recruit • Has his/her own circle of contacts. (different group of friends, family…) • Lives far from you – so that you don’t divide your market, but instead capture a different group of users • Credible, self-motivated, sociable, sales oriented, and customer-service oriented. • Believes in the Human Nature Advocacy 13
  • 14. THEY SAY IT’S HARD TO RECRUIT BECAUSE . . . 14
  • 15. Chemical Products are Cheaper Key to Conversion: Education Chemical Products = “Save now, get sick later.” 15
  • 16. Key to Conversion: Education Cheap chemical products may cause health problems in the future that are more expensive to treat or cure. (Allergies, Respiratory Problems, Cysts and Cancers) If people knew the risks involved, they would have not bought chemical products in the first place. 16
  • 17. What’s in your Chemical Shampoo? Sodium Laureth Sulfate • Strong evidence of skin, lung, and eye irritation Cetrimonium Chloride • Strong evidence to be human skin toxicant Phenoxyethanol • Skin and eye irritant Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer • Strong evidence to be a neurotoxin and an endocrine disruptor, is a respiratory toxicant, and is a possible multi-organ toxicant Source: http://ewg.org/skindeep/ingredient/706089/SODIUM_LAURETH_SULFATE/ http://ewg.org/skindeep/ingredient/701258/CETRIMONIUM_CHLORIDE/ http://ewg.org/skindeep/ingredient/704811/PHENOXYETHANOL/ 17 http://ewg.org/skindeep/ingredient/726276/STYRENE/

  • 19. • But time may come that natural products may be cheaper than chemical ones when there are enough suppliers of natural ingredients – and Human Nature is leading the way to making natural products more affordable 19
  • 20. Part of education is letting your prospective recruit know that a is a life-changing business for many. 20
  • 21. Recruit More Advocates of Change! CONSUMER ENTERPRISING FILIPINO PHILIPPINES Provides natural & organic Provides livelihood to A world-class Pinoy products that truly care Filipinos via the direct brand that will showcase for our bodies because selling business model not only Filipino they do not contain entrepreneurship but harmful toxins and FILIPINO FARMER also that it is possible to chemicals normally found Provides livelihood to grow a business while in conventional brands Filipino farmers by enriching the nation creating a market for and its people OUR ENVIRONMENT their agriculture Ensures that the products produce and high value are all bio-degradable, crops natural and organic and do not contain chemicals & toxins that will pollute our waterways & our air 21
  • 22. The Sample Pack Some people are hesitant to sign up as a dealer because of the price of the sample pack. “All businesses have investment involved, and the investment requires is very minimal.” 22
  • 23. The PURPOSE of the SAMPLE PACK The sample pack is the dealer’s basic tool to sell the products – Testers for dealer to experience products – Testers for customers to try products The value of the products in the sample pack is even higher than its cost! 23
  • 24. Comparison with Other Direct Selling Brands Our earning scheme and commissions are kept at conservative levels because we want to make our prices affordable to most people to give even the poor, healthier options. We also give back a significant portion of our profits to our partner communities and GK. 24
  • 25. WIN by PERSUASION There is a great demand and huge following for our products. The market for natural care products also happens to be the fastest- growing, and we are the biggest natural self care products manufacturer. It is all about VOLUME. 25
  • 26. No credit term • It is easier to manage a cash business – More than half of dealers in other DS businesses became inactive had a hard time collecting from their customers – People can buy on cash basis anyway just like they do in supermarkets, groceries, sari-sari stores • We pay our partner communities who supply us with the raw materials cash 26
  • 27. Pyramiding vs. Direct-selling • Explain to your customers: Red flags that tell you it’s a pyramiding scam: No Products No Commissions No Rewards from Recruitment 27
  • 28. Do the 8-point Test 1. Is there a product? 2. Are commissions paid on sale of products and not on registration/entry fees? 3. Is the intent to sell a product not a position? 4. Is there no direct correlation between the number of recruits and compensation? 5. If recruitment were to be stopped today, will the participants still make money? 6. Is there a reasonable product return policy? 7. Do products have fair market value? 8. Is there a compelling reason to buy? If the answer to all the questions is YES, then the company being evaluated is a legitimate company. But if the answer is NO, then there is a high probability that it is a pyramid scam. Source: http://www.dsap.ph/industry3.html 28
  • 29. Explain to Prospects: is a legitimate business. Main source of income is through sales of Products; there is reasonable demand for products Commissions come from recruits’ sales of products SEC, FDA/BFAD and BIR Registered and has business permit 29
  • 30. KEEP IN MIND: Developing a Network is NOT building a pyramid. It is leading a TEAM. 30
  • 31. Cousin Neighbour Neighbour YOU Friend in QC Colleague Colleague Auntie Your Customers These represent the people in your circle. They are the ones whom you can get in touch with frequently and with relative ease. 31
  • 32. High School Cousin Friend from Bacolod Ex-colleague in Makati Friend from Aunt in Paranaque La Union Acquaintances Your Recruits These represent the people who are still in your circle, though physically remote. They are the best people to recruit because they have people within their own circle. 32
  • 33. Customer Customer Customer Customer Customer Customer Customer Customer Customer Customer Customer Customer Customer Customer Customer Customer Customer Customer Customer Customer Customer Customer Customers of your recruits These are the customers of your recruits, and they are likely people that you don’t have direct contact with. They are the recruits of your recruits, or your “2nd Generation Recruits” 34
  • 35. So is your network just this small? 35
  • 36. Why don’t you recruit? 36
  • 37. RECRUITS = INVESTMENTS COMMISSIONS = PASSIVE INCOME Earning a recruit is a one-time challenge to convince someone. You can continuously earn from their sales through commissions, and even earn from the sales of their recruits. After recruiting, that’s earning with no sweat at all. 37
  • 38. Enhancing Your Team’s Performance • You can increase the productivity of your team by mentoring your recruits. – Keep open communication lines – Give them updates – Share sales techniques that worked for you 38
  • 39. Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success. -Henry Ford 39

Notes de l'éditeur

  1. (This topic is further touched with the 7 steps to Grow Your Human Nature Business)
  2. Be a dealer to people you can meet or visit on a regular frequency. It is ideal to sell to them because getting and serving their orders require minimal or no cost at all. Check your cellphone directory and you will be surprised to know the size of your network
  3. You can only sell to people whom you have direct contact. Other than that, dealership is largely dependent on building relationships.
  4. Although you may have friends or family that live in a distant area that you would like to serve orders to. It will not be practical since this requires you to spend money, time, and energy to personally serve their orders.
  5. Given those challenges, dealers can however, earn a lot from their outright discount, and from their commissions. Selling products can give dealers high margins ranging from 25 to 30%. (Come to think of it, an average sari-sari store only has 10-15% mark-up with their products, and being a dealer gives twice higher sales.)
  6. So given high discounts that dealers get to enjoy by selling products, it is a common question to encounter to why a dealer should recruit, instead of just sell products.
  7. Plus you miss the opportunity to earn commissions from people you know who might also be interested to become a dealer especially if it will be impractical for you serve them as customers due to the distance – they could be low hanging fruits that would be quite easy to pick
  8. On one hand, you work FOR customers, and obviously you can’t handle too many. It’s likened to spreading yourself too thinly. On the other hand, you work WITH recruits. Recruits let you capture untapped market, and help bring in more income. It is also you helping them, by introducing the advocacy and the business opportunity to them.
  9. To earn a recruit is simple and easy. Share the opportunity to others and persuade the person to become a dealer. Once the person signs up as a dealer, the individual should put the referrer as his/her upline.
  10. A common challenge to recruitment is breaking the long-formed habits of consumers. They may be reluctant to change their lifestyle because Chemical products available in the grocery would be cheaper. But that is the reason why we need to educate dealers and consumers as well. Chemical products may be cheaper, but they may have health consequences in long-term use.Actually it’s not always true that chemical products are cheaper: cosmetics and personal care products from some popular direct selling companies are even more expensive than ours – compare our lipbalm, baby wash, lotion, etcSome popular brands in supermarkets are even more expensive. And you only get unhealthy chemical ingredients from them which are inexpensive.
  11. What people save in using Chemical products, they will spend more in the future when they have to treat the health problems that the ingredients of these products caused.
  12. These are the reasons for why Human Nature is a different business. To become a Human Nature dealer is to change lives of a lot of people, and to even support the economy of the nation. This is the very heart of Human Nature.
  13. The starter pack is a very affordable way to jumpstart a business. The price of the Sample Pack is even smaller than the total SRP of the products – meaning, that if someone actually bought the products per piece, the cost would be higher. Even if you compare with other direct selling and networking companies, our kit is so affordable.
  14. The sample pack will serve as testers for the dealer to experience the products himself/herself and also testers for dealer’s customers to see what products they want to buy. In fact, it would be best to have the Full Business Development Pack because it will let the customers get a feel of the assortment of products!Having these selling tools when you start your Human Nature business will likely lead to success. If you are the customer, would you be likely to buy a product you just saw from the brochure or something you have felt, touched and sniffed??
  15. We would be frequently compared to other direct selling brands which have more extravagant earning schemes. Ours however are kept conservative because of our smaller margins. It is through our conservative ways that we are able to keep our products affordable even to the poor.If you will actually compare our prices with those from other DS, our’s is way much more affordable and yet much better because they contain no harmful chemicals. Their price is high because: 1) a significant portion is given as commissions and discount to dealers, 2) since most of them offer credit, they have a provision for bad debt expense which is already imputed in their price, and of course 3) they want to maximize profit not just optimizeThe One Heart for One Community and CommPassion Programs both aim to help our partner communities have a better life
  16. However, Human Nature makes itself a high potential and profitable business because natural care products is the fastest-growing category. Human Nature also happens to be one of the very few brands that produce truly natural products, and at a large scale. In every family, there would be a user of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, make up, hand sanitizer and soap. The great thing about our business is that we are selling personal care products which are daily needs. We will easily be able to reach a volume once users substitute their chemical products. VOLUME – the business makes itself profitable through increasing the number of units purchased.
  17. All direct selling companies who offer credit always impute in the prices the cost of money plus a provision for bad debt expense. Hence making their prices higher A lot of dealers from other direct selling companies have accumulated a lot of collectibles, . . Some even have to sell their appliances and furniture just to pay off their debt from Direct Selling companies . . Some even have to go to jail because they totally have lost everything and have no money to pay uncollected money from customers. As an alternative to this, we offer credit card use.
  18. A recruiting dealer may encounter individuals who are reluctant to sign up as a dealer because they may think that the business is a scam. As there are several direct selling brands in the market nowadays, some people may have grown vigilant or weary towards joining. However, you can explain to your prospective recruit the red flags that rule out if it is a scam or not. Multi-level marketing scams can be detected easily if they do not have products, or have products that are unreasonably priced. They may ask a person to pay a high premium on becoming a member. Returns of membership fee will only come in through recruitment.Multi-level marketing scams also do not have commissions for sales of their products.Scams also do not offer rewards from recruitment.
  19. Human Nature is not a scam. It is a legitimate business.Profit is determined by sales of a product, and the products are reasonably priced. The products themselves are of good quality.Commissions may be earned, though not from recruitment itself, but from sales of products.Human Nature brand, under GandangKalikasan, Inc. is a registered business and complies with all government requirements. We pay the right amount of taxes.
  20. Our direct selling model is not alike a pyramid, but is rather a team. In our model, it will not be the few from the top that will benefit the business, but it is rather fair for everyone. Everyone can earn from commissions, even your recruits, and their recruits.
  21. These are the samples of your customers. (Of course they can be more than that many! ) It is optimal if they are the people you can easily get in touch with, or easily reach without having to traverse a long distance.
  22. The people in your circle who live far from you are in fact the best potential recruits. They can service the orders of people in their area, and it is through this that you can widen your network.
  23. Your recruits have a lot of people that you do not personally know. This illustrates how recruits can help in capturing a wider market base – and you can earn through commissions through sales to these customers.
  24. Your recruits may also have people in their circle that they would like to share the advocacy to. Therefore, your recruits can also have recruits. And should you be able to reach Gold Tier executive level, you can also earn commissions from second generation recruits.
  25. Recruiting people may be an effort at first. But once you are able to successfully recruit someone into the system, the benefits you get are long term.Recruits generate income with no sweat at all.
  26. You can increase the productivity (sales performance) of your team by motivating them. If there is a new product or new magalogue, you should also update them to keep them interested. And of course, share your successes. If there are sales techniques that worked for you, share it to them because they may be able to use it for their transactions also.
